Countdown often sell off Tegal turkey mince (when it gets older I guess). It's a case of being there at the right time though.....and beating people like me that snap up what ever they have left (freezes good) :pfft:

I love the stuff too, low in fat high in protein....win win!

yeah the mrs made a mean burger the other day ,plus i get tired of chkn tits and steak,Unfortunately i dont eat fish.Pork is a bit too fatty for me.

if there is an aussie butcher near you, check them out, ocassionally turkey mince very cheap, also veal mince is ocasionally 7.99 a kg, very lean, high protein, taste takes a little to get used to but easy to flavour mince. aussie butcher is also handy in that they were happy to make up 10x 1kg bags of it for me for freezing.

I cant get used to the taste of veal aye.I can get beef like mofo but hate veal.
