Schiek Lever Power Belt any good??

More expensive than it has to be, and BB.com shipping will rape you

Have you used a powerlifting style belt before? I ask this because with Lever style belts, you set them at a particular tightness. Now they're not hard to change the lever tightness, 2-3 min with a screw driver, but if you're someone who uses a different tightness for squats versus deadlifts it may get a little annoying. I also use different tightnesses depending on the weight I'm using as well, for general working sets I'll have it relatively loose, for a heavy triple or something I'll tighten it one notch. Plenty of people swear by lever belts and don't find it a hassle at all, but if you're going to be adjusting tightness all the time you'd be better off with a single prong.

http://www.liftinglarge.com/Bravo-Powerlifting-Belt - This is the belt I use with a single prong buckle (pretty sure Drizzt uses the same belt? he might chime in) and you can also order it with a lever buckle if that's what you want for an extra 6 bucks. Very solid belt, I have no experience with Schiek products but T*tan are well known for there top quality belts. You'll be able to land this in NZ for a similar price to what you'd pay for the Schiek belt without shipping, so a much better deal.

I have no experience with lever belts but I thought I chime in and give an other opinion/option...

I am not a fan of single (or double) prong belts. I use something similar to this :

http://www.undergroundelite.com.au/Riva ... -Belt.html

with a quick release "mechanism" Less hasle to put it on and you can tighten it more than a prong belt. Price seems pretty good as well... Just my 2 cents...

So what is this type of belt called? I thought there were only single/double/lever belts
