How clean are sports?

Does anyone have any knowledge of whether steroid use is widespread in professional sports like rugby? Some players look like they're on roids. I know they're tested and everything, but is it all a facade where money is involved?

I know of one high profile rugby player who no longer plays in NZ that is rumoured to have taken steroids before he started his rep career. I was told this by a player & friend who was in the same team as this person.

I was also told that rugby players were users of ECA or ephedrine before & during games. This came from a PT who used to train me.

I honestly think rugby league especially is signing some of these kids up at a young age & building them into brick shit-houses. I also believe that some of these kids will be chemically assisted.

I think there are some in every sport who are not "clean" or have not been in the past in their earlier days.

I have heard of a couple of rugby players at national level who are chemicaly assisted
