BCAA

ZMA - Trying it out, seems to help with sleep.

DAA: Throw it in once in a while for 3-4 weeks.

Beta-Alanine: First time using it, unsure of my impression so far, but cheap and research backed.

Glucosamine - Got on clearance

I'll have a multi vit once or twice a week as well.

Sorry Hulk lol

Beta is an odd one man got over it pretty fast, even taking smaller doses couldn't concentrate properly just too worried about the weird fuzzy feeling in my extremities.

DAA - nice keen to see what you think of this.

Yeah I bloody hate that tingling sensation, I quickly figured out to split the dosages. I do a little with my first meal, before training, and post training. That way no tingles but still getting the full dose.

DAA - I've been using intermittently since last year, I just throw it in when I think training's going to be tough for a few weeks and it seems to help a bit. Would love to get blood tests to back it up but I'm not made of money haha.

Where'd you hear that?

Not having a go, curious if there's another point of view to look at.

Berhkan from Leangains purports it to be (one of?) the most important factor(s) in training fasted (through his methodologies, anyway). Can't trawl through his site at this point in time to find where he says this, but can do so later if you were interested.

Oh yes I've definitely seen Martin recommend it on his site which is what caused me do some more research on it in the first place. I had a look on various other forums to see if I could find some anecdotal evidence of people who thought it was worthwhile but the general consensus(that I found) was that it's not worth the money.

The nutratech one at $31 for 300g is alright I guess and I might give it a go. When I said it was too expensive I was referring to the big brand/flavoured ones like Xtend which are like $60+

is BCAA really as cheap as people are implying? what kind of BCAA servings do you guys take daily? is there anyone who sticks to just 3grams a day and is that even enough for someone who is already on a high protein diet to notice a difference?

if you take more like 20g a day then the $31/300g works out at $2 a day, not as cheap when put in to perspective I reckon. it's still 'just' $2 a day but if someone were on a limited budget is it something you'd put in the 'wants' or 'needs' category?

I'm taking same as Phedder -caffeine +citrulline malate +leucine +flax seed oil.

Just had my bloods done this morning for hormone stuff and also liver to establish baseline. Starting DAA today \:D/

bcaa glutamine waste of money and time.

/thread

Only if you are poor. Some of us are not poor, so we ensure our urine could grow clones. Hell, the Chinese have powdered tiger penis, and that is way more expensive, yet does nothing but placebo. It is a muscle, not a magic voodoo potion.

BCAA ftw! even if it strengthens the grass when I piss on the neighbors lawn.

BCAA do something: http://ajpendo.physiology.org/content/287/1/E1

Something about enabling extraterrestrial contact during dream states.

Not sure what, but it does something.
