I've heard BCAA's arent worth taking even in you're training fasted. I train fasted and dont take them, but the main reason is because they are too damn expensive and don't seem cost effective

Are you for real?

I just found some for $31 / 300g

Don't take up motorsport or equestrian anytime soon bro! :pfft:

Where'd you hear that?

Not having a go, curious if there's another point of view to look at.

Berhkan from Leangains purports it to be (one of?) the most important factor(s) in training fasted (through his methodologies, anyway). Can't trawl through his site at this point in time to find where he says this, but can do so later if you were interested.

Wouldn't bother with aminos if I wasn't cutting..

Cutting right now I take extend, multi vit, 3gm vit c.

That's about it. No protein powder for 2 months now and my body is thanking me for it.

Waaaa no protein powder, explain? that must be a fark load of protein from food sources then huh.

Interdasting development.

lol ummm don't eat much protein at all... maybe 200ish grams a day at the moment. You'd be very suprised.

actually my math sucks. I take 8-10 doses at 3g each. So maybe 24-30gms a day of BCAA.

They are cheap (as I said in my first response) if you buy the powder. Straight BCAA powder. Not anything in a fancy container with added extras.

Nutratech have 300gms for $31. At that price I just take heaps.

I have stopped whey for the time being. Even WPI starts to make my stomach feel like shit after a while, so I am having a break from it.

^ sorry to upset you my queen, yeah TLG mix it with any powdered drink raro/vita fresh/weight watchers stuff....will still be nasty but yeah that's the cheap route , unless you want to get something fancy then xtend is good, don't get the LG science BCAA+E , it's like acid + chalk

Bro if your having a bcaa supp then the last thing u want to do is have it with raro, that defeats the purpose.

The whole purpose of having it pre fasted training is because the 4 calories or gram isn't really a calorie.. Bcaas are metabolized within the muscle, it doesn't mean they dnt hold energy value (calories) it just means it's available directly to the muscle tissue. This is different to the metabolizing of other proteins which occurs in the liver.

So pretty much bcaa goes straight to the muscle and if the body wants to use the 4cal/gm of energy it has to get it from the muscle to the whole body.

All u need is whey and steroids tlg

Why whey? Can't I just eat lots of foods high in protein and just inject myself full of olive oil?

you can definately do it with whole foods, at this weight not even that much protein is needed so it's really quite easy to fit in your daily requirements in like 2 meals, 3~4 if you have a small appetite. whey is just for convenience or if you really believe that you need something fast digesting post workout.

don't bother injecting olive oil, your sacks are producing more than enough EVOO right now for all kinds of gainz

TLG pls...

It was my understanding that you are a poor north Korean... So whey is the cheapest... And steroids are cheaper than good multivitamins so f*ck all that shit.

All the ppl who use all the supps itt are on cycles supps are a waste of time.. When ur 5% body fat tren will hold muscle mass 10x better than bcaa lol

Inb4 secret users have a natty outcry.

steroids might be cheaper than all this but not everyone wants to or is ready to move down that path

i noticed a lot of people ITT say whey is the cheaper option. where do you guys guy it from and what does it taste like?

reason I moved on to more whole foods over whey is that chicken seems to be a slightly cheaper alternative (buy lots when it's $10 kilo for boneless skinless breast from butcher) with the added bonus of feeling more satisfied after the meal.

keep in mind BCAA taste nasty as f*ck so get something to mask the taste

1. Teaspoon of BCAA goes in.

2. Add Leucine

3. Add water.

4. Repeat for lolz

Ya get over the taste issue pretty quick.

You rise, you fall, you're down then you rise again. What don't kill ya make ya more strong.

- Broken, Beaten & Scarred

It's too cheap to give a f*ck. Get into it.

Always:

Protein

Fish oils

BCAA

Caffeine

Currently:

Above+

ZMA - Trying it out, seems to help with sleep.

DAA: Throw it in once in a while for 3-4 weeks.

Beta-Alanine: First time using it, unsure of my impression so far, but cheap and research backed.

Glucosamine - Got on clearance

I'll have a multi vit once or twice a week as well.

A good deal, but still god-awful taste. I didn't want to fork out for some more Xtend after my last tub ran out, so brought 300g BCAA and 300g L-leucine and mixed them together. I drink them during training, and now I'm using half a sachet of raro (35g) just to mask the taste, and it's still bad :pfft: When that runs out I'm definitely going back to Xtend, doesn't end up that much more expensive if you order from the states anyway.

Sorry Hulk lol

Beta is an odd one man got over it pretty fast, even taking smaller doses couldn't concentrate properly just too worried about the weird fuzzy feeling in my extremities.

DAA - nice keen to see what you think of this.
