Im reasonably new to the more professional side of training, and very eager to get into it full speed! Just wondering if anyone has any ideas as far as keeping trim and fit goes without putting on too much muscle mass? Looking forward to hearing all your ideas

but srsly,

how do expect to get advice when we don't know a thing about you?

age? stats? how long you been training? whats your diet look like? Training plan? Progress so far?How many grams of test you running?

Tell us more and then maybe then we will:

A.be able to help you

B.want to help you

welcome,

not sure if serious or baiting, don't worry about the 'putting on too much muscle' part. you will never find someone that accidentally put on muscle. it is no where near as easy as you think and definitely will not happen overnight because you decided to use free weights instead of a cable machine or something random like that.

you haven't provided any stats or background info so just going to assume you're a complete beginner from what we got in the original post. i recommend you check out the newbies guide on this site, especially diet section as this will be your key to the 'trim and fit' side of things.

Wasn't too sure what stats were needed in the first place.... i'm an ex-professional dancer so reasonably used to training hard for long periods of time. Im in my early 20's and only in the last 2 years started going to the gym, being used to being in the dance studio instead. Not really scared of waking up tomorrow super buff, but more interested in maintaining what I spent years perfecting.

your discipline from years of pro-dance will surely come in handy to help out your gym goals but not sure what you mean by maintaining what you spent years perfecting? what might you be afraid of losing when moving over to weights training? the two types of training aren't mutually exclusive, there is nothing stopping you from going on with your dance routines/stretches or whatever as well as the gym stuff (just don't try do both at once or you might end up gym wierdo of the year)
