not sure if serious?

Kevin Levrone said a lot of dumb shit. Like he said he spent $500 a week on food in one of his vids.

Read about it here

How's that not believable?

Ah - I said food... He was referring to meat bought from the butcher/grocery market alone.

The part where he and his parents are talking about all the meat that he eats is a bit far fetched.. adds up to 4.5kg per day. Which would be bloody heaps.

That vid is 12/13 years old... 500 bucks US back then would be like 1000NZ these days

Gotta give it to Kevin tho, he was an awesome bber

Notes: Eaten heaps today, dont seem to have gained any weight lately though, will just keep at it. Have started using myfitnesspal app to track calories finding that handy as you can just scan shit and stuff.

Strength gains coming along nicely, CG bench has improved heaps since start of cycle.

Got these (see pic, Var) sitting here tempted to start taking but think its probably better to wait till strength gains slow down ? thoughts ?

Kevin Levrone said he slept 10 hours a night and he thinks that had a really big effect on his recovery and gains.

Protein synthesis and tissue repair doesn't occur to any greater extent than while your're awake. The whole when you sleep you grow thing is a myth. The function of sleep is to consolidate memories and to organize your thoughts.

Would not dismiss it as a myth Riccardo. There is good evidence that IGF & HGH are predominately released during sleep.

That is only somewhat true. When I'm awake and running around I usually work myself up to a state that can't really be conducive to growth. When I'm sleeping I'm relaxing and I usually find myself waking up feeling like I'm flooded with hormones and that I've been growing. I definitely grow more in my sleep than when I'm awake.

Further to that bullshit statement.

When in a deep sleep known as REM or even in a Delta stage your body is producing more testosterone and GH.

That's why you wake up with a woody.

So I'm sure by adding protein to this mix prior to bed will therefore increase tissue repair
