High Intensity Interval Training

Do some shuttle sprints up Liverpool street (behind Real Groovy Records).

Time yourself.

run 1/4 up then down, rest for time taken to do it, then

run 1/3 up then down, rest for time taken to do it, then

run 1/4 up then down.

repeat twice a week

Once a month, run to the top and back.

After first month,

run 1/3 up then down, rest for time taken to do it, then

run 1/2 up then down, rest for time taken to do it, then

run 1/4 up then down.

It won't take long to lean up and improve cardio recovery. Only takes 5-10 minutes to get it out of the way.

It took me two months (when I was 30) to be able to run to the top and back, 30 pushups, then straight back up and back for another 30 pushups.

Within 5 minutes heartrate was normal. Best way to improve cardio and O2 uptake and lean out. Improves sex too. Thrash them women...

Between exerises gor for a 200 mtr sprint or do stair shuttles, top to bottom for 2 mins (If there are enough of them).

Flat bench

*Sprints or stairs

Incline Bench (All sets)

*Sprints or stairs

Arnold Press (All sets)

*Sprints or stairs

Lateral Raises (All sets)

*Sprints or stairs

etc

Just get creative with quick burst cardio.

Or do some Tabata sets on every exercise you have on that day (lower than normal weights). 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off, for 8 sets of 'on'.

Or do Tabata burpees (properly with chest touching ground, and jumping high for that clap) every non gym day. Fark yeah, do that one bro. Do that one.

I like to keep it simple, can do this on any equipment (or even just sprints outside)

4min warm up

20sec sprint (or hard intensity, whatever exercise mode you're doing)

40sec jog (or low intensity)

repeat 12x times

4min cool down

Done in 20 mins.
