can anyone suggest a good bodybuilding book?

like this one:

http://www.mightyape.co.nz/product/Book ... g/3627591/

My starting out bodybuilding book was called Beef It, written by Robert Kennedy also.

Man I used to have a copy of that, Bob Kennedy had a few good books out back then. If your looking the lose bodyfat whilst holding as much muscle as possible you cant go past "Bodyopus" by Dan Duchaine, that book is epic.

http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/search/ ... mit=Search

No specific recommendations but that site is likely to have what you want at a better price and the free shipping takes about 7 working days to arrive here.

If you're only picking up a single book then $10 of savings, as in this case, doesn't much matter but if you get a good stack of them then the savings are more appreciable.

I, and I'm sure many other people on here, have Arnold's Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding. I mean sure it's old knowledge from way back when but the principles are all still the same as what gets people big today.

Also good sections on nutrition, injuries and treatment, and heaps of photos of the golden era bodybuilders.

Awesome book, definitely reccomend reading, all 900+ pages of the revised edition :pfft:

Damn good book. It's a really motivational book, filled with awesome pictures of the greatest bodybuilders of all time.

Getting stronger by Bill Pearl, a must for any beginner covers everything from diet, posing, supplements and character building.

Bill Pearl advocated character building strongly as he found that body building by itself did little to enrich people's lives.

I first got my hands on this book when I was 12, it was published around 1988

Just downloaded everything in PDF format if anyone wants.. PM me

The full version or the 65 page sample that is available?

Given it ranged from about USD $60 + postage for 2nd hand to nearly USD $300 the full PDF would be the cheap option!

It's only $9.99 on Kindle, but I liked the idea of a book for the bookshelf so I spent at least ten times that! :) Hey its an 800+ page book so I'm not complaining!

You have to appreciate a good book. A good book being one that is substantial enough to squish stray cats with. Or something less psychotic sounding :shifty: too much raro post workout :pfft:
