Hey guys need some advice on my diet. Im wanting to drop BF and gain abit of lean muscle i know both at the same time isnt the best way but im not bodybuilding as such more trying to keep fit for surfing kickboxing etc. First ill write what i have been eating then what i have worked out what i supposedly should be eating. Okay so at the moment im not counting calories/macros just eating clean portions for 3 meals a day and if im hungry in between ill have something small. Im 79.6kgs and 158.5cm tall (how ever many feet that is) and i am doing cardio for between half and hour to an hour each day as long as i burn 300 cals im happy and do weight training 5 days per week. A typical day for me would be

Breakfast - 4 egg omlette 3 whites one whole egg, a cup of spinach, 1 tomato, 2 small slices of cheese, 1 slice of whole grain bread and a coffee (no sugar)

Lunch - smoked chicken sandwich on wholegrain with spinach and beetroot relish, 1 piece fruit

Dinner - 1 cup cooked brown rice, fist size of chicken breast, peanut satay sauce, 2 fist sizes of salad.

if im hungry in between ill have a protein shake or banana or something small like that and generally have a shake after weights.

So this is what i eat on daily basis at the moment it doesnt change too much. but the other night i took the time to workout how many Cals i should be having for maintainance and then how many to drop BF and then divided them up into how many grams of each i should be eating a day and the results where.

2371 cals per day to lose fat (about 400 less than maintainance)

Protein - 239 grams

Carbs - 122 grams

Fats - 103 grams

so i worked out roughly how much i would need to eat and it seems far too much to be losing BF?

any advice would be appreciated as i can and will follow a diet but figuring out what is right is proving to be very confusing!
