Torso... thickness?

Recommended Posts

Almost a year gone by since started lifting, slowed down my dream bulk heaps (got up to 21% bf lol) now down to ~14% but something is bothering me - getting wider from front and back views but when I turn to the side I feel like my upper body could be used by burglars to jimmy open someone's door in place of a credit card.

Anyone remember dealing with this? How long did it take (and how much weight gain) for you to finally look significant from the side view?

Is it all about getting a well developed chest and thick back or something a bit more like lifting over extended period of time until your diaphragm expands (strong broscience, is such a thing possible?)?

Same problem here, wide clavicles and easy growing delts mean that I always had width but no thickness, the bad news is.... I am now about 40kilos over where I started and still... not much thickness in my eyes lol!

Just keep plugging away, there's worse problems.

Bro I ain't no pro! Just another guy trying to have a few muscles. With the thickness I found it was just a time thing. But if the worst thing you have to worry about is having having wide delts and a good taper, then that's pretty good. Tend to find the guys who aren't genetically wide have that thickness a little more easily but it's just time and hard work on basics.
