It sounds like a big statement but from what i hear equipped lifting days might be numbered. Im getting in gear asap beginning of next year to make the most of that that sweet sweet NXG plus comfort

Yes, equipped lifting is sliding towards death. Maybe some tolerance will remain for squat suits, but bench shirts will be used by fewer and fewer people.

Multi-ply lifting especially, has long since passed it's heyday.

I wish CAPO in NZ well, but I'll be surprised if the multi-ply side takes off in NZ. Raw has a better chance.

in on gear plus gear plus gear.... and maybe some more gear

then Council of Australian Powerlifters Organisation New Zealand is definitely the place to lift. IPF banned gear.

true. Also the Australian Powerlifters Organisation New Zealand wont begrudge anyone from choosing to compete where they want. not sure the opposite is true.

awesome positive contributions as usual

I have heard the venue is awesome:

http://www.norths.com.au/

There will be a DJ with pro sound system etc cranking out music through the comp.

I'm sure it will be fantastic like the other PA (and NZPF for that matter) contests held recently. Also really looking forward to what the island nationals will lift given the raw numbers at the south pacific games last year. The raw lifting must make it a more level playing field between all the countries in the Oceania Region.

In a lot of ways the South Pacific Games had a big influence on the direction of the sport. The move to make them raw added force to the raw movement in the IPF. I believe as a result the world games was almost chanegd over as well. I have heard this world games will be the last one equipped. The world blind powerlifting champs has now been changed to raw and will be included in the 2016 Olympics.
