35kg Db flat press at 68kgs good?

Recommended Posts

I do it for safety reasons quite simply. yeah i'm counting the bar as 20kg but I Have no clue what it actually weighs

I'm sure it'll make it quite a bit heavier than that. If I was you every now and again and I'd use the bar, just to see how my progress is going in more relatable terms.

":26dfseo7]b]edit: Serious Question

whats the point in being spotted at all for dumbbells? and whats the point in doing spotted reps at all on any exercise?

(i dont mean if you are barbell benching/squatting etc and fail on your final rep and get spotted to re-rack it, i mean people that get spotted for multiple reps in a set)

Srsly? It's the same principal as a dropset. It's taking the muscle to failure and beyond.

The bar basically weighs nothing since it's stabilized. I don't count the 20kg at all.

Do you add the weight of the sled on the leg press? A guy at work was adding 50kgs to the plate weight, saying thats how much it weighed. This was the same guy who thought Dbol wasnt a steroid

I did 120-130 for 4 sets of 8, as an average (depending on what energy I could muster), before my knee was injured (in a separate event).

170 is something I would like to see. Not impossible, just be good to see it with a BB on a squat rack.

To parallel too, like me.

I don't see why this has gone to squats? if I thought my squats were good wouldn't I have made my topic based on my squats???

Because your squats are almost too good to be true. The numbers you posted, in comparison to your body weight and length of time training seem like they might be somewhat exaggerated either that or you're crazy strong.

Well I'm not going to exaggerate as i've already stated I can't squat that much since I counted the bar as 20kg when I had no clue what it weighed. But u seem to forget about 7 years of plyometrics training for sprinting plus my trainings for all other sports such as rugby. Also i'd like to claim I have good genetics since most of my family plays more then one sport or have throughout there lifetime

I'm not forgetting it, however I'm somewhat skeptical to say that the plyometrics training you did when you were 9 had much to do with your strength now.

Regardless, that's here nor there. Your squat is good. Take it as a compliment that people are questioning it. Nobody ever questions when somebody posts up a weak lift.
