Hey all.

Started body building/lifting weights just over a year ago, I am ashamed to admit it by i was freaking skinny in all the wrong places and yet was still (in my opinion) fat.

when i started i was 64kg 5'9 now im weighing in at 82kg which is a HUGE increase, I made all types of gainz, all my family/friends noticed the change which was just awesome.

Wish i had the photos to back me up, Now at my current, i wouldnt say ive got a muscular body, but i would say ive got a decent base. I just need to work harder and build upon it.

I work out 2-4 times a week depending on the weather (weights are outside) with no spotter. In the last year ive managed to get my bench press up to 72kg one rep max (When i first started i think was benching something like 30kg!! haha), but prefer to lift about 60-64kg because its safer.

anyway, main question i want to ask, should i feel weak that i cant bench my own bodyweight after one year? im only squatting 60kg, my MP is even lower 50kg...like i said, i just dont feel safe lifting any heavier, (and im a pretty reckless guy) When i go to the gym just to mix it up (once every 3-4 months), i lift like 10-20kg heavier in there which makes me think wtf, why can i lift it here but not at home?

Im in my early 30s.

But anyway, howdy all

Your MP might look low but ratio wise it's pretty excellent, Rome wasn't built in one day so no shame in not being able to bench your bodyweight, you can always try to do one of the many programs they have here to get stronger if that's what you're after?
