Weightlifting/Bodybuilding question about sets?

Ok,so we have for example this: Workout 1: dumbell press: 10 reps,3sets

french press:10 reps,3sets

pullups:10 reps,3sets

etc.

My question is about the sets: shall I 1) do 10 reps of dumbell press,rest,do 10 more,rest,and do 10 more and then go to the next exercise? or 2) do 10 reps of dumbell press,go to next exersice,do 10,go next,do 10 etc. and repeat the whole workout 3 times (number of sets)?
