The Truth About Steroids ~ My Experience youtube video.

Recommended Posts

This is a video I came across on youtube (which i really enjoyed). I kinda wish there were more videos of people talking about there experiences with steroids but, of course nobody (certainly current users) wants to admit to using gear on video and post it online. Note, this video portrays steroids in a negative light. It is an interesting watch for someone who is considering using, and perhaps still interesting for someone who has already been using for a long time.

worst video evah

why is he in the garden, camera going crazy and wind in the mic....

negged

edit: cruising on 400-500mg....maybe he shoulda did a bit more reading on "the boards" lol

Not the best video, but food for thought about building that self image and the risk exposed to other drugs.

A lot of truth in this. I think many of us can relate to his experience. Initially I thought rubbish...whats this guy that does not even know his first cycle...but then I listened further & heard his story. Good vid for some of the young guys on here to listen to maybe.

Fulfillment is such an illusive thing to find. I believe it is found in the Soul not in the Mind or the Body. The hard part is to creating harmony between them all. Whether this can be achieved while on gear, I am still to find out & I'm having a great experience doing so. So his opinion is, as always, subjective.

Yeah, I thought it was a pretty good video. (But for God's sake, man, put the camera on something stable!)

For those that don't have time for 18 mins of shaky footage, here's the summary:

- For him, steroids were a gateway drug into other "worse" drugs.

- He became obsessed with getting the ideal physique, which required using more and more gear (initially having only planned to do one cycle).

- When he did achieve the ideal physique, it didn't make him happy.

- Therefore he suggests people enjoy the training, and not worry about using drugs to achieve a false goal.

I'm not sure about the gateway drug. I can certainly see that for some people it could be - purely because of the underground connections that are part of obtaining steroids. But I think that would largely depend on the individual.

I absolutely agree that if the only reason you're taking steroids (or even training obsessively) is to look like image X, then you're probably going to be disappointed when you reach X and find it's not all you'd wished for. IMO, this has to be about enjoying the process, not the result.

Thanks for posting the vid, Student. I enjoyed watching it. It was certainly an interesting perspective from someone who got to the top of his mountain, and discovered it wasn't worth the climb.

Cheera for the summary Pseudonym.

Gateway drug? Hell, I came from the other direction. Perhaps A class drugs were a gateway to gear?

Nah.

Perhaps I still need 'something extra'?

But this lifestyle is way more healthy, and we look better. win

Since finding weight training, I don't use hallucinogens or dissociatives. I focus on protein :)

I too was thinking this (not that I'm on).....in my younger days I was sniffing, burning, dropping, spotting and smoking my way to heaven :pfft: . Now that I have a few more sleeps under my belt and have left my A's, B's & C's

well behind me I have found a new vice.....punishing my body for all my prior sins :pfft: . Thankfully I'm old enough now to fully contemplate the pro's and con's of gear. Back when I was younger and in my experimental phase.....who knows what I would have done if I was more lift orientated then
