Versa Gripps

I'm thinking about getting some Versa Gripps. Has anyone tried these? What do you think of them?

Also, is it better to get the Pro or the Classic model? I'm leaning towards Pro, since it sounds like they're a bit more rugged.

I use them and since I have been using versa grips they sure beat using gloves or straps which I use to use in the past and over all they are good value for money plus I would give them a ten out of ten.

Been using them for a long time and absolutely love them when training back. Definitly go with the PRO, they last for ages.

Definitely worth getting a lot easier to use than straps and also get wrist support and reasonably comfortable.

there is a cheaper alternative to these..exactly the same but for brand/labelling etc. Moe has made them I think they are going for $30?

Has he got his own brand too? I didn't see that. I saw he was selling parallel-imported Versa Gripps for $10 cheaper than Evolution Systems. I figured for the sake of $10, I'd support the official distributor. :wink:

I had a bad exeperience with Versa grips, and will never use them again for heavy training.

The ones I had had a lump sewn into the end of the strap that lays in your palm. I was deadlifting a max weight and it felt like the strap was pushing my palm through to the inside of my knuckles...it was painful.

I had to back off training anything that involved gripping things for 2 weeks and it scared the shit out of me a little that it might affect my training.

I went back to using straps for BB, but now have to use own grip for PL. Versa grips...not for me.

I use the pro versa grips. (stole them from a pro bodybuilder LOL)

I love them, have had them for about 4 years and I shift a bit of weight sometimes and they hold up great for me. I need a new set actually.... hmmmmmmm who do I know?

I tried out my pair for the first time the other day. Now I'm a believer! Love 'em!

I got the Pro model, which has a slightly longer flap, but I was initially concerned that it would still be too short to reach around the bar properly. Turns out it's the perfect length, and I think any longer would be a nuisance.

TLAF, I saw some of Moe's Power Gripps at the Fitness Expo. To be honest, I didn't think they looked quite as sturdy - the flaps are leather and I'm not sure they'd last as long. I also don't think they'd be quite as grippy as the Versa Gripp flaps, which are almost sticky.

On the other hand, they're also half the price. :shrug:

ive used both man and cant tell the difference but each to their own. have power gripps at the moment tho and really like them.

I did not know that Moe has his own brand of Versa Gripps I will have to check them them out when I am in Aucks next weekend.
