cheerz guys im 22 been training for 5months now started off 72kg jumped up to 85 in the first 6weeks. not bad i thought. i was only on protien at that stage then into the 3rd month tried a few "so called" test boosters just to find out later after reading about clinical studies that the main natural ingredients in them dont do jack sh*t!! im pretty sceptical about most supplements now, an sticking with high cal intake and a good routine. just wondering.. anyone out there know where the f**k the real supplements at?? finding it hard to get past 85kgs at the mo and thats nothing. i wanna be 100kg+!! i've got the drive, just need the key.

yea bros eating heaps, as much as possible. had a bit ov time off from the gym and noticed a bit of weight gain. perhaps protien synthesis caught up lol!

anyway i've done some research on natural test boosters and found that pine pollen seems to be the most promising, as my main short term goal is to boost my test levels to aid my long term goals. i've ordered a months supply of cell wall cracked pine pollen. it sounds like the goods and i've heard some good things about it heres a list of its contents.

Pine Pollen contains over 20 Amino Acids. Pine Pollen is a complete protein.

Alanine • Arginine • Aspartic • Cysteine • Glutamic • Acid • Glycine • Histidine • Isoleucine • Leucine • Lysine • Methionine • Phenylalanine • Proline • Serine • Threonine • Tryptophan • Tyrosine • Valine

Additionally, it contains all the important compounds:

Alpha Linolenic Acid (ALA) • Androstenedione • Androsterone • Antioxidants • Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) • Fiber • Flavonoids • Lignin • Living Coenzymes • Living Enzymes • Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) • Monosaccharides • Nucleic Acids • Oleic acid • Polysaccharides • Superoxide dismutase (SOD) • Testosterone • Unsaturated Fatty Acids

interesting ae.. ill keep everyone updated on how it goes. im looking fowared to it!!

13kgs added in 5 months? :naughty:

it's typical ecto newby gains, similar figures here myself and for many other ectos bulking i seen/read about. won't be all lean muscle gains either.

@op, the slowdown you are experiencing right now is because sadly the gains won't keep flowing through as easy after the 'newby gains' period... that was basically your body adopting to working out. now it's done what it needed to do, the real hard part starts.

the key you are looking for is to sort your nutrition and work extra hard in the gym with a good workout plan to ignite muscle growth to keep the gains coming albeit, muscular gains will slow right down.

if you haven't tried creatine already you can give that a go. it'll basically help you with sustained energy in your workouts (some people report some strength gains) as well as give you a bit of a boost in size/weight by putting more water into your muscles

edit

by the way, who put the idea in to your head that at 22 you need test boosters? if you suspect your testosterone is low, see your doctor for a referral to have it checked out.... most likely that's not the case but if it is then at least you'll have it professionally treated with thing's that actually work. just remember that if these over the counter test boosters actually done something more than provide more frequent boners then people wouldn't be risking their ass illegally sourcing/pinning steroids.

basically since steroids r so hard to get, i gotta opt for natural alternatives to get the test levels raging.. makes muscle growth alot easier lol. most of the gym goers that have the build im after use steroids!! i for one think there magic, if not abused!!

anywho.. yea i thort my gains in the first six weeks were unreal. i mauled a 15p bag of mutant mass tho and i noticed i could not see no abs down below :pfft: but when i stop drinkin the stuff the gut washed away overnight ae its crazy!

another thing is.. im quite lucky in the sense that my family genetics work in my favour. all my cuzzies are units, and lookin back through old photos they were all skinny little runts till there mid 20s. none of them work out either but they look like full blowen body builders haha :)

Never the less i plan on hitting the iron hard, and im not guna stop i hit full 200% potential mass..

also only supps i take now is protien (mutant mass) and creatine (cell mass) 90% of the rest are shit

cell mass would also be in the '90% of the rest are shit' area along with test boosters. creatine is great but you don't need to buy the overpriced junk like cell mass and cell tech (creatine + bit of carbs), you get very little for what you pay. have a look in to just buying creatine monohydrate (very cheap & proven) and drinking it with some fruit juice (the simple carbs just help the creatine to get to the right places sooner) or some dextrose powder (also very cheap).

this is your mistake. nothing you buy over the counter will have your test levels 'raging'... in fact very little you can do without pinning test (which i'm not encouraging by the way) which will make any difference at all to your muscle gains.

you just finished surfing the newby wave, you're gonna feel a little depressed to hear that it won't always be like that but you're just gonna have to accept the reality now. on top of eating right and working hard you have to give it time. after all, bodybuilding is a marathon not a race.

you mentioned that your family is all built up too. some genetics had their part but most likely they also done some physical work and gave their body enough food to grow, most importantly, they gave it time to do its thing. unless you have problems with low testosterone then you can also build yourself up like the rest of your family, saving your cash for things which really work.

Guys, not everyone who posts about pine pollen is Gareth. To a newbie, the gains it promises would sound fantastic.

Zephyr, if you've only been training 5 months, don't even think about steroids yet. (And by the way, anyone who PMs you about them is almost certainly a scammer.)

As others have said, the most effective thing is to nail your diet. Post up what you eat on an average day.

Cheers for all the advice guys! I already know the main foundations to body building is dieting properly, and training hard and properly, was just looking for something to aid.. Not looking to good haha. Anyway trust me I eat a lot too. I've recently doubled my intake but my daily diet consist's of porridge for breaky, 2-3 servings of chicken through out the day aprox1 whole chicken, one large serving of pasta, one tin of tuna, scrambled eggs, and whatever the mrs cooks for t, and what ever else I can squeeze in. I'm only 80kg atm too. Oh and two 1600 cal servings of mutant mass. I train 5days a week and I train thorough and proper. I've learn't heaps from the old man. He was body building for years. My mates still freak when they see him hahaha..

Basically is there no real proven supps out there apart from creatine, and protein?? If there's any goodies out there, let me know please.

Sounds like you're eating a lot, which is good, but possibly too much... You're quite likely mostly gaining fat, I'd try reducing it to only 1 serving of mutant mass a day and see if you're still slowly gaining weight, aim for approx 500g a week. If you still gain weight on 1 serving, 2 was definitely just making you fatter

As for other supplements, creatine and PP are your best bang for buck. Fish oil is great for general health, ZMA can help you sleep better, and possibly help gains if you're zinc deficient, which I'd doubt given your diet.

As mentioned earlier, DAA or D-Aspartic Acid can be promising, although as a young guy likely unnecessary. I've used it myself off and on, for how cheap it is it's worth a try at least. If nothing else it really ramps up your libido  We've had a few discussions on it here, just use the search function and you should find some reading.

But as also mentioned earlier, you've likely just come off your easy 'newbie gains' period. Don't worry, you'll still be making progress, just not as fast as you did at first. Now you really just need to knuckle down, train hard and eat well and you'll keep seeing progress, it just takes time. The people that want everything too soon are often the ones that burn out, just be patient and it'll come.

Cheers phedder I'll look into DAA for sure. Yea I think the two weeks off I just had has done me some favors. Getting real good pumps now, feel my shirts tightening up. Also yea i wouldn't say I'm a hard gainer. I seem to get gains in short doses, but good gains. Quite curious to way myself again. I'll post my weight when I can. I use the one at the med centre. It's accurate
