getting waxed for a contest

Ok before I start, this is not a troll post (even though it may seem like it, I promise it isn't) for those of us who are so hairy that we get mistaken for a missing link, how how do you deal with the pre contest wax? do you shave/use that hair removal cream stuff a bit before and then when it's closer you get it waxed (so it doesn't hurt as much?) are there any other methods around this? cause right now I have hair growing on my shoulders for some reason that looks like the rug Austin Powers had, and my back is starting to look bad too (I have about 11 weeks before I need to get the hairless Asian male look)

First of all, hair removal cream isn't going to make waxing any less painful. That just dissolves the hair above the skin, just as though you'd shaved it. You'd need to let it grow back out a bit before you can wax it - and when you do, you'll still have just as many hairs to rip out, so it will be just as painful.

Also, if you're anything like me, cutting of the hair at the skin's surface (whether by razor or by cream) is a recipe for ingrown hairs.

If I were you, I'd go for your first wax about 8 weeks out. That's going to hurt, but it will clear the hair, and your next wax (about a week out from the comp) will be much easier.

You are going to get a million different opinions on this one CF but having tried body waxing I will never go through that pain again and I'm not particularly hairy!

I Use veet hair removal cream for best results and if it's a bit to short for that (it doesn't work when the hairs are too short) and i have a photoshoot or something then I just shave. Make sure you loofer your whole body and moisturise and you should be fine.

Get somme no1 or 2 clippers on that shit before getting waxed and get someone that is quick as f*ck waxing. Slow people suck and draw out the pain so much more bro!

sweet thanks all for your input...yeah might have to bite the bullet and do it at some stage, at the moment I do use "Marzena Girl Hair Removal" (serious!) asides from the fruity/gay name of the product it works really well....for about 4-7 days then you get stuff growing back again which upsets the missus will have another think about it after reading all of the above to see what's better, I was planning on doing what Peter said to be honest ...if only they gave a prize for the closest werewolf looking person!
