thanks for all your replied from my previous post about supplements

I got some creatine now.

I read a post on this site

"Many users find that they get better results from creatine when combined with 30g of high glycemic (high GI) carbohydrates. Taking high glycemic simple sugars will spike the body’s insulin levels," quote from the post

does it mean having a bit a sugar AFTER workout with protein to increase insulin level which will improve protein absorption into muscle?

I believe that's the theory - insulin stimulates protein synthesis. I use dextrose which is absorbs into the blood stream quickest to help replenish any depleted glycogen stores, so the protein that i eat is used for repairing muscles and not used for energy or replenishing glycogen stores.

Please correct me if my thinking is wrong!
