Nice vids, thats the depth I plan to do starting this thur, feels alot deeper than it looks lol. do you go by feel or do you have a mirror in front of you?

Just go as low as you can. I dont like squatting in front of a mirror but you can practise with the bar only looking at the mirror side on and look at your depth

Gave it a go last night after i'd done back squats upto 135x10 so I was a bit fatigued already and it was only my 2nd time doing them. The hardest part was holding the bar in position. I'll give 70 a go next week then on my deload week i'll do them 1st and go for 80-90. Also i know my depth is a bit high I just wanted to get it over and done with cos I felt like I was gonna die after 15 reps :pfft:

would u agree that the chinese and other orientals can squat so low is because they squat over top of toilet seat everytime they take a shit?

last chinese restuarant i went into ther was nike sole marks on the toilet seat lol squat atg to avoid splashback...

I saw one rep that was above parallel, 15th or 16th rep, the rest were good. All reps have to be below parallel though or I'd put you up as first on the leaderboard. Was that 60kgs?

all i said pretty much was u got good a2g squats coz asians squat over the toilet seat to shit they dnt sit down... u gotta get low in that activity coz if u squat high ull get the mean splashback... and if someone took a piss then didnt flush that would be disgusting.

they wreck the seats too, some cunts in my gym been breaking them.. fucken shoe marks on the seats... pisses me off!

I think that was the rep the bar was sitting halfway down my arms lol. Yes 60kg, you should make it just to parallel :lol:

Did squats again yesterday to parallel using a chillibin as a box. Did lots of sets of 5-10 trying to find the weight which ended up in a massive quad pump so was pretty fatigued when trying the 20 repper but did 18 reps of 107kg, should be able to do 20 of 112 n/w without doing so much work beforehand and will go up 2.5kg each week after that

Hardest thing about going deeper is the fatigue on my lower back, probably due to finding it harder to stay upright at that depth (though could be due to trying to squat to box)

Didn't feel anything more than normal in glutes/hams, just mainly more work for the teardrop part of the quads..

These are back squats obviously though lol. Its 140kg for 20. Thought I would share

Thats some good weight brah. What do u reckon u could front for 20? Id be very impressed if you did over 100kgs.

On the bb.com thread the heaviest is 112.5kgs by a 100kg guy. Im coming third in the u165lb class

You looked fucked at the end of it but by the speed you did those squats I reckon you could get a few more reps in or use more weight, provided you pause to breath during the set
