Very cool! Cant wait to see some footage of how it all goes

Cheers bro

It will be a fun ride getting CAPO established over the next few years. Build it and they will come. Its going to take some time but Rome wasn't built in a day eh.

Its taken about 40 years for the NZPF to get its 180-190 members but I think with CAPOs growing popularity and prolific growth it should grow quite quickly.

Hi guys, incase I've missed something some where I have a friend that wants to enter, but I don't see any cut off times to register so can my friend just turn up for weigh in on the day between 7am and 8am and pay then to compete?

VP

Should be on the entry form but if your friend wants to join CAPO NZ and set NZ records they will need to have their entry form in by 15 September. If they just want to lift as a novice non member on the day is fine. We will have plenty of forms there 8)

10 weeks....

Can somebody post me a link to the best Bench Shirts and Deadlifts suits that are acceptable to use in CAPO.

Hey Bluto

you can use any equipment you like as long as it fits inside the WPC rules which are on the Capo NZ website

http://www.sportsground.co.nz/clubsite.asp?siteid=21857&pageid=83484&pagetypeid=5

There is some second hand gear around in NZ and of course you can get it new/used from the US.

T itan, Inzer and Go Metal all supply both single and multi gear from US

Try http://www.kiwistrength.co.nz/page.php?ref=Classifieds.php-click

Kiwistrength is a T itan supplier here in NZ and so is Tonka on the Powerhouse site

http://www.powerhousegym.co.nz/gymforum/forumdisplay.php?fid=38

http://www.trademe.co.nz/sports/exercise-equipment-weights/other/auction-495201150.htm

http://www.powerliftingwatch.com/classified-ads

Can't PM you but what is your height/weight as we may have some single ply gear that could fit?

Hope that helps

I haven't actually competed in any federation as of yet but really do wish you guys the best and that you go from strength to strength (No pun intended....well maybe a little).

I doubt I'll be able to get up there to watch but I'm sure it'll be a fantastic day. Good stuff guys and girls.

Thanks!

We run fun comps regardless of lifting rules anyway and always have great sponsors and prizes. This being the 1st for CAPO in NZ is pretty special so mean to start out as we intend to go on. We have lifters coming in from around the country and Australia too so it will be an awesome event for them all. Rumour has it there will even be an IPF Hall of Fame lifter competing which is just outstanding! Its also a great chance to meet/greet and socialise with us/them all afterwards too as we have a BBQ and Cake Bar along with prize giving after the event. Always fun and a great chance to get up to speed with training techniques, network new mates and catch up with old ones.

Official Poster is out now too so you may these popping up in gyms and places over the next month
