I have stopped using those sites all together now cause of exceptionally high shipping. I have a feeling they are bumping their prices up a little to allow what could be little indescrepencies when shipping internationally. The likes of DHL for example has a added rural cost and it sounds like if you live more than 10 min out of any town or city theres a likely hood of you paying extra for shipping. Again this might have come back and bit those retailers in the ass and in the process they lost some money. If you have noticed that they all use DHL as their main express shipper express and fedex and ups as their secondary.

Anyway this is just what i have noticed about it all but i could be wrong. At least i found myself a decent distributor that is selling product to me at really low prices and i have to pay shipping myself.

Another thing i have been looking at for shipping is using places like comgateway.com, MyUS.com and a few more. Has anyone have had any experience with freight forwarders like these?

My friend had an account with one of those and I TRIED to use it when I bought stuff from bb.com that wasn't allowed to be shipped to nz (animal cuts, and a multi...was stupid that they didnt want to ship) anyway long story short not only do they charge a stupid amount on top of it, they are slow/lazy and fucking useless so I gave up and decided to just order straight away from sites but not get what I want

I stopped ordering protein from BB.com since around 6 months now. Comparing prices of the proteins which I buy from locals such as bodybuilding.co.nz and now even dailysupps.co.nz, it has consistently been been slightly cheaper here and even where there was a saving to be made with protein, it was just a couple of bucks cheaper - not enough to put up with the 2~4 week delivery time over the local next day delivery option.

Smaller items like multi-vitamins, creatine and pwos are still cheaper to order in from overseas (at least on the cheapest, slowest shipping option).

i think the thing about why protein is so cheap in nz is that just about everyone is selling the stuff and is most likely bought from fontera in bulk so even futher savings is made. The thing about buying protein from the states is that the protein comes from nz in the first place. But you guys knew that already.   As far as everything else goes because the small weight ans sizes of the packaging i think it is still worth while getting your creatine, post workout, pre workout, multi's and so forth from the US.

The Venom 4kg bags are a good deal but not as good as the Davis sacks.

Just saw the Evolv 5.5kg WPI is $198 ($36/kg) which is actually cheaper than Davis' regular price ($37.5/kg). However the current 10% discount makes the Davis stuff $33.75/kg but that may not last long

Just while we are on the subject. It looks like Trueprotein.com has gotten cheaper shipping rates from when i last wanted to use them. I think their main shipper is USPS.

P.S i have absolutely no affiliation with them. Just incase someone was wondering.

bodybuilding.co.nz had a sale on protein. I think $26 a kg for unflavored. It has passed, but still good to keep an eye on that site.

I buy from http://www.supplements.co.nz

Got an 81 serve Cytosport Whey for under 90 bucks. I think it was 80. That's good money spent. They have a cytosport deal on atm.

On their site it says $91 (before the deal) for 103 serves. But I am sure it is 81 serves, and I double up. Still good money.

They are?

I looked at their website today and wanted to order the sample they do of all 38 of their flavours. It costs $39 and they wanted to charge me $57 shipping lol (150% of the purchase price). I then tried adding just two sachets of protein flavouring to my cart ($8.99) and they wanted to charge me $37 in fucking shipping (450% of purchase price lol).

I even wrote them an email this afternoon saying this was outrageous and can they please provide a cheaper shipping option and I don';t care if it's slow, just make it cheaper.

What were you seeing man?

I honestly dont know what happend then cause i made a mock order two days ago i think and it was 10lbs of whey with all the bells and whistles that i wanted and the product was 39 and shipping was close to 60US but that was for 10 lbs. I thought that was reasonable. I have a commercial fedex account and they chrge me like NZ$250 to ship 10lbs. Fuckin rip off. I quite happy to pay 50-100 shipping provided weight ratio is good but it sounds to me you got ripped a new one.

It was only a mock order I didn't give them any money.Shame cos I really want to try some of their protein flavouring sachets to flavour my plain whey. I aint paying $50NZ shipping for a couple of sachets though. I'll let you know if they reply to my email.

I really want to try their sample pack. They ship you 38 different flavours of WPI (50g each) so you can try them all out. Damn good idea but I aint paying $57 US to ship something that costs $39...

Fair enough i think that is quite rank to pay 100%+ for shipping vs cost of product. Yeah, it would be good to know what the outcome of the email. I also at some point wanted to try those sample packs as well. 50g per serve is not bad.

Good morning and thanks for the e-mail, I am afraid the USPS has disbanded their surface mail shipping options for international mail, so what we have been recommending is that customers have their materials shipped to a freight forwarder to have their materials transported via sea.

Thanks again, and we apologize for the inconvenience,

Seems a bit odd that I should have to get a handful of sachets that weigh maybe 100g all up shipped to a freight forwarder and then transported by sea lol

Might investigate and see if anywhere else stocks them. Haven't seen them here though

Try dnanutrition.co.nz - only $40 a kg for flavoured whey protein powder. free delivery - ~80g (well 78.2g) protein per 100g

Evolv WPI is less than that per kg and is 93.5g protein/100g although it isn't flavoured

Venom choc flavoured WPI is the same price as what you posted and is 87.5g protein/100g

Both are free shipping

Just puchased 4kg of WPI from Evolv and really happy with the product. They also sell a range of flavors and sweetner. Buying the 5.5kg of WPI is the cheapest way to go. I only got the 4kg, as it was my first purchase from Evolv and wanted to compare it to other whey that I had used. I will continue to purchase from these guys, as it is free shipping and great service.
