Test and psa

Recommended Posts

Have a searched online to mixed results, so am wondering if anyone has noted increases in blood psa, either on trt dosages or cycling?

thnx

There was only ever circumstantial evidence to support this. Don't let the medical profession tell you otherwise. I speak from personal experience. But continue to monitor your PSA annually. It is only an indicator of cancer & is notoriously inaccurate.

Following on from this....

Late last year, 8 weeks after a light Tst cycle my PSA came in at 2.8, up from 2.4 about 6 months before, so I knew the doc was going to get weird come the annual check-up in Jan. After a lot of online research I began a wee cocktail of extra fish oil & zma, vit E, vit D3, selenium, saw palmetto and feverfew. 4 weeks later my PSA came back at 2.5, so I felt confident heading off to the doc, only to find he was on holiday. Kept up the supps for the intervening 2 ½ weeks and he's just run another test at 2.3

Stoked \:D/

PSA levels are notorious for moving around. It is a good idea if concerned to have a few tests done to establish an average level before undergoing a biopsy. Obviously, if yr MD was concerned with yr level...normally over 5, he will order a biopsy which is not that bad & although uncomfortable, is not that painful as its done under local anesthetic.

As previously stated, there is no real definitive clinical evidence linking Prostate Cancer or Enlarged Prostate with Exogenous use of Testosterone or its derivatives. There is some evidence that suggests that Testosterone will increase the rate of Prostate Cancer cell growth, although I will dispute this as well. If anything, there are some opinions that leads to increased levels of Estrogen being present as the enemy, although there is little supporting evidence of this either.
