Thinking of starting a personal vlog

Need your opinion on this guys. Now, I'm not a huge dude by any standards. I'm 5'9 85kgs 10-12% BF, 20 year old student but real passionate about this stuff. I thought of it as something to motivate me even further and for others who want to follow something that is attainable. I've been training for 2 years. So just wanna know, should I go through with this or not?

Sure, why not? Start a journal here as well, and embed your video in it. It works well for other people here.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking here though. If you're asking whether it's a good idea, or if people will be interested... you won't know until you try. :)

who knows, your experiences (successes and failures) may help others. people may also comment on your journal and help provide advices or motivation.

and if not for anyone else, you can do it for yourself if you are interested in keeping a public record (and maybe having a place where you can publicly hold yourself accountable to goals for each month etc.)

Yeah I was trying to see if people would be interested. Those are great ideas, so would you guys suggest starting a workout journal here and embed the training videos, meals and whatever?

Yeah you're likely to get a bunch of more hits/readers & potentially valuable feedback from NZBB than from an independent blog site. In case it was your intention, you won't have the same advertising power here as you would on an independently run site but you can still put stuff in your videos/sig I guess.

Start a journal on here, you can put down what you did for your workout, maybe what you ate etc.

Now, underneath the logo at the top it says forums, put your mouse over that and go "user control panel" then once you're there click "Profile" then "edit signature." There, you can put a link to your vlog. I think in there, you could contain a more detailed description of your workout, things that may have happened that day, struggles in your life and how it effects you etc.

That way, if people want to, they can keep up with that and if people want to skip that stuff, they can just read your workout, how much weight you lift etc. in your journal. Just seems like an idea that you could take on board, gotta have something to vary it so it's not the same thing.

 your call

Are you just a regular gym rat or are you training for something specific. No one is really going to follow just a regular joe going through the paces, most of the journals in the journal section Peter out for this reason.

But if you have a point of difference, or a specific goal then you will get people following you and going on your journey with you.

Remember this is a bodybuilding website and if you are prepping for a bodybuilding show (actually anything would be cool - powerlifting meet, Mma bout, music festival :-s ) doing daily vlogs and training vids would be a great idea and you'd drum up lots of support.

 hmmmm Just have me an idea

Like SG says make it interesting and have w point of diff and you will get followers otherwise your just another average guy being average.

This is true, but even an average guy being average can be interesting further down the track once he's made good progress and can show impressive Before/After photos. So it's good to start now so he can record that progress - he just has to be realistic about how much attention he'll attract in the early days.
