I use anytype of pasta that I can get my hands and that would includ any brand as well like dimond or budget pasta which is very cheap to buy plus the budget pasta dosnt take long to cook as well about 11 minutes compare to some of the other pasta brands that are out which take a bit more longer like 12 to 14 minutes to cook. Not to sure of the cab ratio in budget pasta I will had that to my post when I get home from work.

I don't think it's too important. I personally don't think there's much point paying extra for one with a slightly higher protein level or a slightly lower GI carb source as it's all irrelevant in the grand scheme of things really. If you are eating pasta along with a protein source and a fat source of some kind then that is going to slow the digestion of the carbohydrate significantly anyway so it doesn't really matter if it's made from organic bulghur wheat or shitty white flour at the end of the day.

So for me it comes down to cost, texture and flavour rather than finer details of the macro breakdown. Wholegrain pasta is definitely a different beast to normal pasta. Fresh is nicer than dried but more expensive. Pasta made from ancient grains is a different texture to wheat pasta and good if you are gluten intolerant but it does cost mroe too. At the end of the day, they're all just eggs, flour and water and I doubt the carb levels vary by a heck of a lot
