Sorry!

This site is in read-only mode right now. You can browse all our old topics (and there's a lot of them) but you won't be able to add to them.

If you could give one piece of information/advice

To have all the supplements you need (protein etc) before you start, and a budget for food that is atleast twice what it is now (assuming your mate 'Dave' already eats ample for natty gains).

That's 2 I guess.

Would saying 'research it, indepth' be 3?

And hold off if you can (4)

Get consistent with your training, nutrition and supplements first. Set a point of reference so that when you take something you know what if anything that product is doing. Use one product at a time in the beginning and maintain consistency in your other variables.

Guys eat crap and hardly train, then do a cycle and all of a sudden eat loads of cals and protein and start training consistently. Yes they make gains but what specifically did what? They generally have no idea.

Find a person or mentor who's done it before that you can trust (not always your dealer LOL) so that at anytime before, during, after you can ask questions. Pick someone who you know makes gains, not just someone who takes gear.

I had heaps of questions throughout my first 3 or 4 cycles, everything from PCT, different dosages, adding a compound mid-cycle, switching Test compounds, sweating at night, gaining fat/ bulk what to do, moods, sore from pinning.... There's heaps of questions that come up during a first of even 2nd, 3rd cycle that most of us just ask guys we know who have been there before...find one of those guys.

Just imagine yourself lying in pain with a red hot shoulder 3 days after a bad shot. waiting for someone you don't know on a forum to reply to your question LOL, then you'll know why having someone on hand is a wise choice.

This isn't so much for me, more what people would of changed if they could do it over again or what was more critical than what they expected

Oh right, now it's clear! WTF?

Give me my time back! NOW!

I should of elaborated, when I said this wasn't so much for me I meant for my personal circumstances, I was looking for a generic answer. I wouldn't of made a thread if I wasn't interested in the posts. I was more replying to hhhh1

Reason for my thread was I came into this sub forum looking to see if there was a newbie guide, transitioning, FAQs of some kind given most of the people here would of stepped up to gear at some point and some while using this forum. I'm interested to here what people encountered, would of changed, results, first cycles etc, hence the thread. I've already done my own research, but it's interesting to here actual peoples experiences.

All I found was the story of a 6ft3 monster repping 200kg bench, before switching to juice :envy:

Have read Optimass thread on roids sometime back i.e. when is it right for someone to take it etc…. great thread by the way  …. I have been into this for 3 years now… have made reasonable gains (from 64 to 82 now)…BF around 17% … hoping to touch 70-72 around 10 % or under ..Naturally…. Over the course have learnt few things (still learning) about lifting technique, routine , what exercises work for me and which ones don’t!, Diet etc …

But it’s always tempting to taste the other side of not being Natty.. To make some gains in shorter period of time!!! But here is my point

1) Is it worth the risk? I mean having half knowledge on what your taking , dosage , pcts ? I am sure even before finding a source you all would have researched on the dosage, products etc in depth. But was the muscle gains worth it? I mean depending on your genetic can you put on 10 kg of pure muscle in 7 months?

2) When is it best for a natty to make this call i.e. jump on gear or not? Is it 4-7 years or so after reaching genetic potential, understanding diet and your body? Or Just jump straight into juice

Looking forward for some comments from the likes of experience BB from natty and the enhanced side…..

^ Valid questions...

1. I believe it is worth it. If anything, it ensured I trained as honestly as possible. No more shortcuts (gear not included). So I trained more consistently, more thoughtfully, with more intensity, and it became a religious experience for me (Better than a fake friend).

I am near the downward slide of the age bell curve, so to get the most of my training, I figured I had gone as far as I could've in the time I spent.

I don't see it as a cheat. I see it as a supplement to my training. A neccesary part of what I am, and where I am going. Self justified, so for what it is worth it probably has no impact on this discussion. We are all viewing it subjectively anyway, natty or not.

I have no need of more children. Had a vasectomy anyway, so any anecdotal evidence of sterility isn't off concern. Any organ issues aren't as bad as what I have put my body through with rec drugs and alcohol between 19 and 31.

2. This is always a personal choice. I am wishing I had started a decade ago... But then I am not so young anymore (though I have good genetics and look like it), so this influences that.

Cheers severe for your thoughts....I don’t think taking enhancement drugs is right or wrong thing either .... Just trying to access when it is the right thing to do and to gauge my risk and success by adopting it…. Natty or Not-natty there is always a risk for injury like ligament or muscle tear, joint aches, organ damage due to over load etc… IMO …it’s all ways good to hear from experienced folks before I make any decision…

Also I guess taking the right dosage and timing them right. Also training and eating right …would have been a big challenge ….which needs a lot of discipline which I personally think I am not quite ready yet  … Might think of this may be 2-3 years down the lane but for now I am just here to learn from the experienced folks….

^ I am far from experienced, but I do have experience. If that makes any sense. 8)

AAS are like tattoos. You either do one and say 'never again' or go feral and keep having them... It's hard to give up the feeling of going from great to awesome.
