Do you speak up ?

Based on the pet peeves thread, just wondering if you guys speak up when there is retarded behaviour going on around you that effects you?

example:

I asked a guy if he had long to go on a piece of equipment yesterday and he barked at me "i'll be finished when im finished" un phased i replied. "Ok, do you mind if I work in with you?" as all he's doing between sets is texting.

To my surprise he said "yes i do mind" That's when I let him have it re having some manners and that he does not own the gym. I then just went ahead and started working in between his sets lol All of a sudden he has finished his sets :pfft:

Anyone got any experiences with such fucktardery ?

Interesting thread and yeah I do react to that kind of thing sometimes.

It's more the rudeness than the ignorance that shits me in people. Had a guy on the squat rack a few weeks ago tell me he had "heaps of sets" left when I asked him how long he would be. So I sat and waited patiently. Then when he's done he just walks off and leaves his plates on the bar. OK so it was only 2 plates but the principle. So I told him to take his plates off, he was a bity cheeky and I gave him an earful about sharing space and not being an asshole. He leaves the gym now when I come in.

Yep I say something, politely at first than if they give attitude I just explain how much of a dick there being

To be honest it's usually the smaller wannabe guys who leave their weights all over the show or on machines

Hate it when they leave weights on things like leg press and a female has to take off the weight etc so deff say something in cases like that

I've been pretty lucky in the gyms I train at but once or twice, I've encountered "inconsiderate muppet syndrome".

I ask nicely and if the response is lousy, I'll find some other machine to use but wait till the tables are turned (and they eventually are) and the muppet wants to know when I'll be done with a bench or machine....then I feel the sudden need to do 20 sets :D
