Your GP should be able to simply treat it with antibiotics, although if it's particularly nasty, they may need to cut it open and clean the wound. But it's relatively minor surgery, and your GP clinic should be able to do it, I think.

Yeah if you just go to the hospitals emergency room, you will have to wait a few hours in the waiting room but they will sort it out. I had an overnight stay, 20 min operation, felt groggy for a few hours, but was back lifting in less than a week with no pain, basically once they drain it the pain is gone..

I think its like a 1cm cut, then they pack it with gauze so it heals from the inside out so nothing gets trapped inside? maybe different with everyone but mine healed sweet

i hope its 1 cm for me too

do they use anesthesia?

if u google this vid on youtube

"Deepest, Biggest Butt Abscess-Cyst, Post-Op(VERY GRAPHIC"

(-warning contains explicit content)

its freaky as hell and i hope i never get as infected as that

^ That's correct, I think I was dropped off at like 9 am and picked up at 3 pm? it's been over 10 years since it was done, if you don't get it removed it could dig deeper so I'd get it looked as ASAP bro, you don't really get much of a pain once done

If you're nervous about the anaesthetic, I'm pretty sure it would only need to be local, not general. Regardless, you need to get it looked at. It's been 4 days since you first asked about it. The longer you leave it, the worse it's going to get. Go see a doctor NOW!

I was shitting myselef about general too, they said local wouldnt work that well as the swelling/infection counters the local. Did the general, honestly not bad at all, have an injection, wake up a bit dopey a second later, hang around in the hospital for another hour then you're free.

go for it mate its not as bad as i thought it would be and i was terrified lol

but when i look at it there are like 2 boils and a couple of pimples with pus in it... yet still i feel no pain?

tho, im still going to go tommorow morning,

so i wont have to stay the night.

....or would do i not need to cut it until it starts hurting?
