experiencing strange feeling in abs after working out

Recommended Posts

Last week when working out my abs, I did about 2 sets of sit ups on a swiss ball, squeezing my abs at the top, and I got a very strange feeling in my ab/stomach area, and had to stop. I tried working out abs again today, but again, after about 2 sets of situps on the swiss ball I got the same feeling. Its very difficult to describe, but its almost like im getting a cramp in my abs?

Any else ever had this? I think last week was the first time ive worked out abs since taking 'the curse' preworkout. I was wondering if it could be that or something? otherwise im guessing its probably just me having weak abs

Ive had this for nearly 2yrs now.

I'll describe what I get and c if u can relate. I also now know how to work around it.

I dont train abs unlesd I'm leaning up, and when I start training abs and do crunches after 20 or so I start feeling like they are moving involuntary.

If I don't stop they would get worse and feel like they were twisting inside my stomach, this knocked the shit out of me once and I never repeat.

Sometimes when it subsides and I try and get up it starts again since u use core to get up...so I roll over and get up slowly.

Over time as i do leg raises, obliques etc and some crunches it goes away completely.

It happens worse when I take Clen or Albuterol.

I can get thru it, by just doing some an work each day or two the abs get stronger and after a week or so it doesn't come back.

I get the feeling that the abs twisting inside is the ab wall and not the blocks of and we see on the outside. Once everything strengthens each muscle seems to keep the others in check...that's how I feel about it at least I dunno wtf is going on tho.

If you push it and don't stop your abs will twist like a knot and it'll knock the shit out of you.

My first experience of this wasn't working abs tho. I was doing preacher curl stacked one day and they just twisted up and didn't stop...my face went white, my breathing got short, it felt like someone had kicked me in the nuts and it went for minutes...I nearly cried in the gym srs. From that point on I had ab cramps as above whenever I am working them after a long break.

Dunno if this is like yours, i hope not :-)

Yes android haha! that sounds alot like it. It sorta feels like it 'knocks the wind' outa me. and I can relate to the twisting feeling u described. When it happened i had to slowly and cautiously make my way off the swiss ball and stand up and try not to worsen it in the process, Its only happened twice to me so far. Its strange, I used to have no trouble training abs lol. Yea, so then I reckon I just need slowly try and strengthen my abs up, and it prob will stop (untill I have a long break from training them). Haha its good knowing im not the only one who gets it :D.
