Ankle and Calf pain on leg press

I've been having ankle and calf pain after / while using the leg press. I currently do a full rom legs against chest to almost straight leg (not locked out). I was thinking would this ankle / calf pain be cause by too bigger angle on my ankle when thighs against chest?

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so how did you go about preventing this problem.

Thanks

Also what kind of shoes are you wearing?

Any sneaker with a spongy cushioning sole, such as a typical running shoe, are inherently unstable.

I personlly lift barefoot, hobo styles. But anything with a solid thin sole will do.

Thanks for the comments guys. I;m guessing I've injured my ankle when going for a pb for reps and have let the weight move towards me too fast causing my ankle to over extend towards myself.

Think I'll work on form and controlled movement for a bit.
