Jo departed for Sicily yesterday to compete at the IFBB World Masters this weekend. Having just won her 5th NZFBB NZ overall title, she will surely do NZ proud at this comp. Quite amazing to think she is 45 years old and placed in the top 10 (7th and 8th) in the past two years at the IFBB Worlds - as an Open competitor!

I see on Jo's website (http://www.muscle-xpo.co.nz) that she finished 3rd in her class at the IFBB World champs over the weekend in Sicily!!

I don't have any other details, but that's an awesome result - I wonder how often (if at all) a NZ competitor has placed top-3 at an IFBB World event?

I think Jo is going to do the Australasians in Perth in Feb/March - she's taking a team over there for that She's looking amazing this year and has done us all proud - too bad she hasn't had any media coverage? :nod:

Yes, Jo is doing the Australasian champs in Sydney next year. The date is still to be finalised, but it is usually held in late March or April.

Hopefully we will get a decent NZ team going over - I was part of a team of about 14 people that competed there in 2003 and it was great fun.

Hey folks! Back from Sicily yesterday, and WOW what a fantastic trip! Jo and Mark definitly had some testing times getting there, with the airline losing their luggage, getting dropped off by the bus in the middle of nowhere - in the middle of the night.. getting to their hotel only to be told that they have no room there and have been moved somewhere else. But they pulled through, and Jo looked absolutely fantastic.
