Hey Guys

I live in a very small town and cant get supplements apart from online so thought this was a good place to ask some questions.

Is there a good safe online shop anyone can recommend?

Also i used to use GNC when i was in australia but dont know what to use here, i put on abit of weight when i moved back and have lost 10kgs already but even with a good diet, drinking plenty of water and plenty of exersice (cardio and weights) ive been finding its hard to lose the last 7kgs can anyone recommend what supplements will help with this, i cant have caffeine if this helps as i know afew have them in it, i have read that SciVation Xtend is good??

Oh if it helps i'm 175cm and 72kgs ive got down to 65kg before and want to get back to this.

Thanks :D

Here's a bunch that are reasonably well used by people here & have good reputations:

www.bodybuilding.co.nz (my sponsors)

www.nzmuscle.co.nz (sponsor competitions on this site)

www.punchsupplements.co.nz (previously sponsored competitions on this site)

www.shotgunsupplements.co.nz

Lots of "fat burners / thermo's" that could help if your diet is already good. Have a look around on those site as well as searching here for threads on fat burners / thermo's and their reviews.

Drinking plenty of green tea and eating spicy foods could help. You could use green tea extract if you really can't have any caffeine. Are you just hypersensitive or allergic?

Including high intensity interval training may be another option if you had only been doing steady state cardio. The increases in your catecholamine levels (Adrenaline and Noradrenaline mainly) could help raise your energy expenditure.

How fast did you want to lose that weight? I am sure if you now have everything in order, it is only a matter of time before you feel good naked again. The steady road brings the best rewards, long term.

and online buying is teh only way to go, really. dispatched from a warehouse so smaller overheads than a fancy store, so the discounts are better.

Also, keep checking out http://www.dailysupps.co.nz for bargins that may occassionally suit your needs.

Well i hate coffee but i've had supplements with caffine in it and it makes me feel like shit even just one pill and i cant do v or red bull.

I will sound so fussy but i hate green tea and herbal teas, the only thing i drink is water (like 3-4 ltrs a day) and on occasion a diet coke or pepsi max but thats it.

I walk/jog (intervals) in the morning, same again after work, do weights with my friend twice a week and on weekends go for 2 odd hour treks and bikerides plus bike to and from work, we dont have a gym so im trying to get in as much as i can oh and i have a wii fit :)

Thanks for the help guys i'll keep you posted if i find anything :)

I've heard that L-carnitine and CLA are useless...

I haven't really looked into CLA so won't comment on that, but L-carnitine is effectively useless. Supplementation does improve muscle concentration of carnitine, but other enzymes are the rate limiting step in the transport of the fatty acids for beta-oxidation. Basically, it doesn't matter how much carnitine is in the muscles, because without higher levels of those enzymes your body cannot process the carnitine any faster.

I've heard that L-carnitine and CLA are useless...

To the best of my knowledge, there is no peer reviewed data to indicate L-Carnitine, chromium, HMB or CLA are any better than placebos at reducing weight. There is however evidence that gingseng, green tea and caffeine assist with weight loss but this is believed to be due to their stimulant effects, causing additional incidental exercise.

If I'm mistaken please correct me.

Sweet as, looks like we can cross those 2 off the list. What about supplements that are beta2 agonists? Stuff like clenbuteral and albuterol obviously work very effectively for fatloss, however obtaining them seems like a pain in the ass. I've been doing some research and I found a supplement by USPlabs called "Compound 20". It is suppose to be a natural beta2 agonist which will produce similar effects to clen and albuterol. Can anyone comment on this?

Assuming diet is good, best supplement is cardio

sorry but i would have to agree. there isn't a "best" supplement when it comes to fatloss. First of all you're only 72kgs (not sure on your height though) but thats fairly average bodyweight so why are you not focusing on building muscle? how old are you? never look at any advanced supplements either, not unless you're very experienced in this game and have several years of training under you. Don't look at supplements bro, get your diet in check, your training in and rest. You can get alot of good vitamins and minerals in good clean food so you should be focusing your attention there first.

Scivation Xtend is not a fat burner. I know because its the only supplement i take. Its a BCAA supplement. I took many supplements in the past, some are better than others but nothing replaces weight training/cardio/diet as the best forms to lose weight.
