IF Diet

Looking at doing leangains and been reading through a few existing threads like this one.

Any tips for how best to structure it when you train at say 6-7am in the morning? Just seems weird not having a big post workout feed and having to wait to until say 12 to break the fast.

Cheers

Hitro check out the leangains.com site as he does have a protocol for someone in your situation - it involves something like having BCAAs before your workout and regularly till you get your first meal. Or something like that

I've been following Leangains by Martin Berkhan for almost a year and a half and can honestly say, its not a diet for me, it is just how i live. I have seen more gains in that period of time than I have in 5 years previous (ive been lifting for a good while now at age 36 and stood by 6 meals a day for years). IF opened my eyes and I'll never go back.

For anyone wanting more info and pick up a protocol to follow, go here. www.leangains.com.

Alot of fitness youtubers have recently posted videos on IF which has kinda made it popular. My suggestion, read up on it as much as possible because 99% of the people I talk too when I say I don't eat breakfast think I'm a complete idiot....I like trolling these people whenever they ask me how its working for me. Show abs, end of conversation.

I recently had a running argument with Alan Aragon about IF....that was like taking on Bill Gates with a Sega Mega drive lol.

^this.

Thats exactly what I do. I eat my last meal around 8:30pm and wont eat again until 2pm the next day to break my fast. I take scivation xtend pre workout and hit the gym at 1pm. I drink alot of water and about 2 cups of coffee during my fast and thats it. thats how i live and will continue too.

Haha 100% agree with everything you said. They say there is no silver bullet in this game but IF sure was the missing ingredient for me!

Hell yeah bro. Gotta be careful though as some people are against IF and feel strongly towards conventional dieting (which has proven to work too) but heck, most get easily offended by opinions but fail to realize we all here for the same damn thing.
