Hey girls and guys!

I'm looking for some tips to break out of a rut I'm in.

As background, the last few months I have taught around 5-6 pump classes a week, and tried to fit in 2-3 crossfit sessions as well. Prior to that I had been teaching mostly spin with some of my own weights sessions.

I've recently quit all the teaching to focus on crossfit, and starting a wendler 5/3/1 next week, but the body feels a bit broken, and the mind as well! I've fallen off the wagon I guess, and right now I want to get back on but really can't be bothered at the same time.

I have experienced this in the past and wound up eating my blahness in burgers, and don't want to go there again. As tasty as those damn bacon backfires are..

So aside from hardening the f*ck up, anyone got tips? I'm hoping the new program will change my mindset, and help reign in the eating again too.

Thanks in advance :)

I did a week off this week- kind of - taught two pumps but put on old lady weights.

Went back to CF first time in a week this morning, old injuries have flared up this week though so the workout sucked BALLS. I think this has probably contributed to my cantbefuckedness.

I will definitely be slamming some concrete pills over the weekend.

Sounds like you might need some time off... Injuries, Feeling shitty, Plateu's etc. And maybe addres your diet - are you getting enough calories to recover? This can leave you in adrenal stress or contribute to the things above...

Also have you considered getting some injury rehab; Physio/chiro/osteo/sports massage. Could focus on these things for a while and take a break from lifting for a short while?

5/6 Pump classes a week is fucking epic I would not be able to handle. Also even though the class is great its kinda one fits all and if you do have some injuries the exercises may not be great for them as it isn't specifically taylored for you. Other than that Cross fit - although pretty hard out and something great to get into - is also quite risky for the old injuries...

Do you think they are going to go away if you don't address them?

That is all...

Thanks peeps :)

Dinahlady: I teach the pumps so I make most of the exercises fit to what I want to do haha.. But I still have to follow a certain format and it was pretty taxing teaching 6. Paid the bills though!

The injuries are more overuse than anything, so it is time for a rest I guess! A proper one.

One is fluid in the knee, so it blows up every so often.

Other one is a popped A/c joint on my right shoulder, again it flares up on overuse, and throwing shit above the head is pretty common in cf. I've got rock tape enroute, and will prob foam roll and do some rehabby shit on both. Have seen physios over the years!

Diet has been pretty shit the last month, I wasn't getting in enough cals for what I was putting out, but I'm def trying to to address that :) nutrition has been a mind f*ck lately though, so I need to figure out a new plan.

Maybe a journal will be a good idea for here :) I blog but it's all crossfitcrossfitcrossfit stuff.
