Squats - Is there an alternative?

Technique, technique, technique

But for the mean time, and to answer your question, yeas there are alternatives. I'd recommend Smith Machine Squats (haters gon hate but you can almost have your anos touch the ground so will teach proper depth and can still train hard) for the time being. Leg Press, Hack Squats and Lunges are effective too

my squats got better (as in more weight) once my traps built up a bit. Then the pressure was absorbed by the meat up on the upper back.

And you really need to go low.

I saw a guy at the gym a few days ago squatting 140, but only half ROM. I wonder if he stays awake at night wondering why he still has skinny legs? He would be better off at 80kg with his ass to grass.

Yeah lighter weight and squat till your ass hits the ground nearly only way, I did the just below parallel for years then trained with a mate who trained hardout with squats and went as low as man my squatting was heaps better. Lighter and get the technique right, train the muscle not the ego

Ok here it is, not many people ever post there squat videos, especially not small ginger's lol, so be nice :P

Two things:

A) The bar tampon is because my clavicle sticks really far out of my shoulders - I can't do like standing calf raises with the machines for this reason too.

B) The shirt says Spartacus, its a gift from friends who thought it was ironic when I was 55kgs.
