KONY 2012 is a film and campaign by Invisible Children that aims to make Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice.

yeah basically a pro-war movement which seems to be supporting a ugandan invasion into other african nations supposedly to find kony (who hasnt been in uganda in years)

after logging onto my facebook and seeing how many phaggots have shared that biased propoganda vid...wow... I havent been this disgusted with humanity for a while

if you have to take anything from watching that video, alteast grasp point illistrated at the end.. the 'world order' as we know it there is a way around it, to turn it upside down ..voice in numbers makes a huge diffrence.

The invisible Children group are doing well. Some talented activists within their group. Its been said that 31% of what they raise goes to charity. Doesn't seem like much and people are kicking up a fuss about that and the excuse to occupy Uganda for oil. Depends what you value more, Uganda being used for resources or the quality of human life over there. IMO they can take all the oil they want, just protect those helpless communities.

They are giving an option to children and families to not have to kill for survival, and not have their mothers raped and used for sex slaves. Put yourself in their shoes. Sad that everyone just needs an excuse not to give.

Hard to tell what the current state of Uganda is unless you've been there or know someone who's been there.

Let's face it, if they're serious and this video does it's job, the movie-maker has just done himself out of a $90k/yr paycheck and IC loses its raison d'etre.

The only difference between this and any other charity scheme is the "viral" nature of it. Kony is old news, has been persona non grata at the Good Lad's Club forever, CI has apparently been campaining against him for years, yet in the space of a couple of days this level of exposure has been achieved. If they'd been serious all this time I'm sure they could have actually achieved something worthwhile, rather than waiting for Team America to figure out just what resources/strategic value there was in the area that would justify taking some form of action.

According to the link that Phedder posted, CI made a profit of almost $5m and has assets of over $6m. If they really wanted Kony stopped, I'm damn sure that, for a slice of that, Blackwater or any other PMC would be happy to drop a team in-country along with one of Mr Barret's finest...just reach out and touch someone.
