Posing Music

Heavy n hard, soulful crooning, club beats or epic movie scores?

What do people prefer & what would be songs would you be recommending?

IMHO its pretty hard to go past Yates / Haney's posing to Carmina Burana / O Fortuna techno mixes, though I'm unsure if anyone else could do it justice after them!!

Kind of liking some Pitbull etc, but unsure what to run with? Liking some Sparta (as in the movie) remixes too!

Thoughts?

IMO someone who has no grace trying to pose to something slow is hard work to watch, much the same as guys with not a whole lot of muscle posing to hard and heavy music.

Dance music is difficult also cos you can't hold your poses long enough if you are trying to stay in time with the music and if you are out of time it just seems odd.

Whatever you do just don't dance onstage lol.. yes Nate you!!! NO dancing!!

Totally agree re O Fortuna, but it'd be a huge ask to pull that off.

Maybe you could do something with the intro to Conan (the original, featuring music by Dino De Laurentis, NOT the shitty remake).

Failing that, a bit of Disturbed or Metallica?

Conan the Barbarian Music has been done alot and generally works best with the big boys. Think this is actually Basil Poliderous as Dino De Laurentis was the producer I think.

Great film score, I love the opening track and the music where he fights Pulsar Dooms general in the stone field and breaks his fathers sword. Great sword and sandal movie IMO one of the best ever made, very powerful story, good casting and great locations in Spain. One of my fav Arnie pics as well.

Many orchestral scores work well for BBuilding as the have very dramatic crushendos and an intense sound, plenty of options out there.

I stand corrected. Call it a blonde/senior moment :pfft: You're right though, one of the all time great movies, and I can't think of a swords'n'sandals one to top it. I think the music is actually a large part of what makes it such a powerful film.
