Hey guys, First off. I want to lose body fat and then i want to get big. But i'm not sure what kind of cardio that i should do? should i just do like a hour on the cross trainer or the bike in the mornings and then do weights at night or does the cardio need to be more intense than that?

Many Thanks

Hey mate I have seen your pics and someone with your level of BF i would say just start off with 30 mins brisk walking every morning, before breaky.

Monitor progress and as it slows (i'd say that will be effective for sometime tho) add 1 then 2 then 3 and so on evening sessions. When you really start to get down in bf and progress slows i'd start replacing the odd the walking session with some HiiT.

My 2c.... Others may have better advice.

The one that you enjoy the most which fits into your lifestyle/environment :)

ditto

was gonna say "regular cardio" is the best.

There's no such thing as "I'll do twice as much tomorrow to make up for today" etc, at least not with consistent and rapid fat loss.

Start off doing a few steady state cardio sessions a week for a couple weeks then drop the intensity and bring in a HIIT session then slowly replace the regular sessions with HIIT sessions. HIIT will definitely help you lose fat quicker and although the sessions are intense they don't take much time to complete.

All good advice.... to start with, it's got to be:

A. something you can at least tolerate doing - if you hate it, you won't stick at it, but if you like it, it'll last;

b. regular - it takes three weeks to build a habit, so give whatever you choose at least that long;

c. matched with a decent clean diet of real food, probably about 500 cals/day less than you need - no amount of cardio can make up for ingesting a coupla thousand cals more than your body needs!

Stick at it - you WILL notice results :nod:
