Diet change ideas

Hi everyone,

Thought I'd check in... again.

I recently changed my diet a little, adding 2 supplements to replace 2 big meals. Reason was I was really struggling ramming in all those sold meat meals. I have found that I am gaining weight much slower now although I must say I am feeling much better as to bloating etc.

Could I be gaining less fat or maybe loosing more fat? What I did notice is that my diet is panning out much better and closer to my 40P/40C/20F they way I am eating now. My previous diet I was struggling to reach those numbers and it normally came to about 30P/40C/30F. I haven't done measurements again so not sure on the gains I've made size wise but will do on Monday.

Sample day diet currently as follows on non-workout days, still at 3500 Calories a day though. Substitute lunch2 on workout days with 3 workout stacs combined at 150 g Dextrose, 120 gram venon WPC protein, 10 gram Creatine.

Water intake during day at about 2-3 liters non workout days, 4-6 liters workout days.

My stats:

Length: 176 cm

Weight: 69.5 (Struggling to get that 70 kg)

Fat taken a month ago: 14% (Lost on the waist in the meantime so think it should be less now)

Breakfast:

- 3 weedbix

- 3 boiled eggs

- 40 gram Venom WPC protein (Some days)

- 300 ml lite milk

2nd Breakfast

- 40 Gram Venom WPC protein

- 300 ml Lite milk

- 1 raw egg

- 1 banana

Lunch:

- 400 gram meat, someday's chicken, someday's beef, someday's fish

- 200-400 gram vegies (Raw measurement)

- 1 cup starch (Rice, pasta)

Lunch 2

- 40 Gram Venom WPC protein

- 300 ml Lite milk

- 1 raw egg

- 1 banana

Dinner 1

- 3 raw eggs

- 300 ml milk

- 50 gram rolled oats

Dinner 2

400 gram red, white etc meat

400 gram veggies (Raw measurement)

1 cup Starch, rice, pasta etc

when do you train?

ie what is you pre-train meal and then post-train meal

10g creatine... 5g is plenty

150g dextrose is a load also at 70kg bodyweight

raw eggs!! :?

ditch the weetbix and eat oats!

lite milk? aint you trying to gain weight?

add some different fruits

maybe add nuts as another fat source in place of somthing else

1. Train Mon/wed/Fri

Pre train meal would be lunch 1, with pre-train stack of 40 g protein, 5 g creatine, 50g dextrose

During train stack of 40g protein and 50 g dextrose

After Train stack of 40g Protein and 50 g dextrose and 5 g creatine

Dextrose for boosting insulin.

Post train meal is normally just 3 raw eggs, 50 gram oats and 300 ml mil with a big solid meal 2 hours after that.

2. Raw eggs? lol, Don't mind, easy enough.

Lite Milk---guess too much fat in the normal one, read that most Bodybuilders prefer the lesser fat one. I go through about a litre a day so normal bluetop I reckon would be too much fat? Am I wrong on that? Lite as in light blue top.

4. Fruit? ok, will give that a go. I'm not big on fruit and rather do veg, but will have to if I have to.

5. Oats instead of weedbix, sweet, will try that.

why oats instead of weetbix?

The carbs in oatmeal are released in a slower and more sustained manner than weetbix. Oatmeal also carries with it a fair amount of fibre, a wee bit of protein too. It'll keep you feeling fuller for longer.

weetbix has 12.4g/100g protein, oats 13.5g/100g

and weetbix has more fibre than oats and both are very low in sugar. am i missing something?

He is just saying raw oats have a lower GI rating than weetbix.

It's not going to make a big difference really some ppl metabolize certain carbs better than others so experiment and see what you like best. That's my advice do a month on oats and a month on weetbix. Then decide for yourself.

oh yep makes sense. i swap around betwen the two every now and then and cant say ive noticed any difference.

just seems like everyone is obsessed with oats and how great they are etc when theres plenty of similar alternative foods.

the protein in them (and in most grains) isnt even a complete protein

If I recall correctly (Crop and Food's database is off-line so I can't check), weetbix has a helluva lot of salt in them, which is definitely an issue.
