Help Needed with Legs

I_lift

Recommended Posts

Weakest bodypart by far. The problem is that I suffer from tentonitis in both knees, as well as Spinal Bifida (L4,L5) lower back. I cant squat too heavy as a result. Any suggestions on how to built big quads with those limitations?

I wish it was mate. Unfortunatley Spinal Bifida is skeletal (not muscular). Lumbar vertebra numbers 4 and 5 are only half formed. It is a condition that you are born with. I would suggest a deep tissue (sports) massage as a starting point for you. In my experience chiropractors charge alot for 5 minutes work.

I think the leg press machine would be best for you, I_lift. Hopefully it will support your back even at higher weights.

A hack squat machine might be ok, since it too supports the back, but there's still quite a bit of vertical pressure on the spine.

Leg extensions or sissy squats would be fine for you back, but I don't know how your tendonitus would react to them.

I'm no expert though. :)

they sure do! but your chiropractor would know best in this case, because your condition sounds complicated.
