Calves trouble

My calves were so crap it's not even funny

But I started doing things like doing a set or a two at the end of leg day of leg press or hack squat and going up onto toes at the end of each rep, lighter than usual and just use like one movement of push then up onto toes. Or doing the same thing with lunges etc.

I've also started practicing sprints and bounding techniques.

And possibly when you're doing things like hamstring curls making sure your foot is dorsi-flexed and making sure you push your hips forward as you contract.

Squatting ATG (hammy touching calf). SLDL's all the way down. and real slow Glute/ham raise negs feet dorsi flexed.

I actually stopped training calves on thier own in the normal BBer way(raises/seated raises) and am just doing these things now.

I think a lot of this worked because I had tightness in my calf and doing raises just worsened. who knows you could have the same problem. Mine are soooo much better after changing my way of training to this anyway. Each to their own!

I hit mine twice a week. I do 4 or 5 sets at the end of leg day while I've got the leg press loaded up and then I hit them again on the calf press 5 sets on whatever day falls half a week later.

Definite improvement over doing them once per week. Calves can really take a hammering
