Fancy scales at Briscos Albany

Just thought I'd find out what everyone thinks of these fancy scales they have these days with the electrodes that measure bodyfat, bone weight, lean weight etc etc etc. I saw some of them at Briscos over the weekend for $85 or something, down from $160.

They claim the scales are accurate to 0.1 % on all the measurements. Now if that is true, that is pretty damn accurate and would take a lot of trouble out of having caliper tests etc etc. Your results would be readily available.

i've heard these can be inaccurate, depending how much water you have been drinking and how much you have eaten.

Save yourself some money and don't bother. Go off caliper measurements, girths (waist, thighs, arms, chest etc) and the mirror.

They fluctuate far too much, and will make you doubt your progress when suddenly your BF% has increased 2-3% in a day.
