Heres an article on Go Figure on my Training Partner Jake.

CLIFFS

Naturally an extreme ecto he's fought tooth and nail for every kilo of muscle he's gained.

He competed at 90kg earlier this year and at 6'2 decided he needed mass to fill out his lengthy frame and be more competitive.

He's currently eating through 8000 calories a day, every day. All clean which is no mean feat. While I definately wouldn't recommend a similar diet for most people, Jake is a qualified nutritionist and tailored his diet to his own requirements.

The proof is in the pudding, he weighed in at 116kg today and still had abs visible (yes thats 26kg over his comp weight from less than 3 months ago!). Now thats bulking at its most extreme!

Next time you hear someone complaining they eat heaps but cant put on weight, refer them to this article

I like what he says about supps being just that. A supplement to real food. See so many guys stop eating when they hit the supps thinking theyll just get the calories from them . Although 8000 a day your going to need a bit extra . Good motivation for the ectomorphs .

holy mother of bulking this guy sure must work real super hard and have a crazy metabolism to boot! doesn't ronnie coleman also bulk on similar kcals?

Ronnie Coleman cuts on 8000 cals and has an IV stuck in his arm providing a constant source of protein to prevent going catabolic

Fuckn awesome! like they say, no such thing as a hard-gainer, just an under-eater.

LOL so you are saying hes not a hard gainer, yet if he doesnt eat 8000 cals hes not going to get bigger. He is the definition of a hard gainer. Pretty sure if he was taking in 6000 cals thats not under eating.

Its just an expression aimed at people who blame their "hardgainer" genetics on not being able to put on mass. If you want to grow you need to eat more calories, simple as that.
