I would like to join others firstly in saying a huge thanks to Damo in advance for how this comp is shaping up, all the AUT guys are really looking forward to it

Just wanting to get a vague idea of timing etc of flights, looking at the numbers all flights have roughly the same numbers of people (slightly less in Women/light flight, do you think each flight might take about 3.5hours?? So 9-12:30 12:30-4 4-7:30?

Just trying to give a vague idea to some of the AUT lifters and don't have much of an idea myself??

Tell me this isn't so...starting at 9 and finishing at .... Late? anyone

hahaha...you will be lifting in the afternoon flight. Lifting should finish by 4- 4:30 then 1/2 and hour to correlate scores and prizegiving will follow. Like BB shows these events are a day long. If you issues with being here all day I can award you a dispensation to weigh later but being a 1st time lifter you would really benefit from seeing how it all works in the first flight...besides that you can chill, eat, get in the zone and knock back free supps  PM me if you get stuck bro

Massive big ups to Steak, Bar-bell and the CBC crew for running an awesome comp yesterday. Always good to meet up and smash iron with your crew.

Some highlights for me:

- Meeting Michealk and Android - great to chat to you Michealk after the comp and also great to share the platform with you Android = you're strong as bro!!!!

- Watching heaps of guys go Super Saiyan on the bar - heaps inspiring

- Opti getting a slight tear in his bench shirt on 220kg second attempt, looks at it and goes f#$k it. And trys 220kg on his 3rd with no fear!!!! The bar comes down to his chest and then his shirt splits in half!!!!

- watching Robbie smashing a 260kg dead at under 93kg bw - the guy is a deadlifting machine

- the cheescake at the bbq - we were all fighting over the last few pieces LOL

- the great spirit the comp was lifted in - big ups to all the competitors

- meeting up with the boys and smashing iron

Cheers to the spotting and loading crew for an awesome job and big ups to Tiny Traps and Big John for reffing.

Many thanks again to Steak, Bar-bell and crew for an awesome and well run comp - hats off to you guys

My only regrets were not staying to see the big guys lifting and not being able to compete myself. Massive effort by Pitbull, can't wait to see what her 3 lifts are going to total at the N.I champs. Was nice to meet some new faces and meet the AUT crew.

Awesome event Steak and Barbelle! Coast Barbell Club Rocks!

Awesome comp, Cheers for Steak and all other who contributed to the running and great success of this comp, it was amazing. AUT fielded 15 athletes, and everyone had a great time, I really look forward to seeing how the team progresses come the next 3 lift later on in the year.

Was an awesome day out plenty of tin smashed by all that competed. Got to watch from one of the best seats in the house and besides a few nervous first time mistakes all lifters had very clean technique made judging very easy.

Some highlights for me

- Big Danomyte smashing 750 raw with a massive 310kg Squat!

-Pitbulls 142.5kg squat as a 63kg sub jr

-Androids 180 raw bench so close to 190

-Brett Remix possibly the strongest crossfitter in nz (or fittest powerlifter  )

-AUT bringing out 15 Lifters quite a few in their first comp and all very strong!

The beetus fest afterwards was good mars bar cheesecake =P~ =P~ =P~

Cant wait to be apart of the next one!

Phew...what a cool day

So many highlights, heaps of new lifters, some very good young lifters coming through all enjoying the day.

The only hitch we had as organisers was the Next Lifter program not wanting to save the AM session results..hence Ive just taken a photo of the hard copy we run...for reasons exactly like this. I have some-one very talented on the job of creating a much better program to score PL events so hopefully we will have that sussed and fully operational soon.

A massive shout out to our awesome sponsors:

Mike Kingsnorth from BSC . Mike was on his stand all day mixing shakes and copious amounts of K-OS, selling discounted products, clue people up on what they really need in the way of supps and giving out some very useful nutriton advice. Its not often you get to pick the brains of an IFBB Pro!

Monster Energy showed up too truck, chicks and drinks and hung around...a little in awe at first I think for a bout an hour mingling and loading up the fridges with drinks and hnading out stickers etc to the swag of kids.

Jack Links had us all protein snacking all day on the best jerky you can get.

Waiwera Water and Waiwera Thermal Resort had us hydrated and a free pass to the DOMs soothing hot pools was in every lifters pack. Also added a Nippys coffee to keep the crew going as well.

Chi provided hundreds of drinks including the new sugar free Chi and some lemon and original flavas.

Plastpro finally finished the upstairs loft in CBC so it was ready for a viewing area and lax out.

The Manly Village Butchery had great packs for raffles and over 250 very tasty sausages were sizzled in the aftermatch. Thanks to the girls for baking then cakes and cheesecakes too!

Qoleum had a wicked gift pack and bodymap package that went to the Most Improved CBC Lifter. There was also some heavily discounted product. I can do tubs of the Q Rub and Cool Burn for only $30 as I have 4 of each left and a couple of Q Friction too. Normally $45-50 bucks a tub.

Yeti and Whopper sorted one young lad with enough beetus survival pack to gain a kg or 3.

Kohinoor Rice Treats packed the lifters packs with enough carb loading for a good recovery and more was handed out in box loads with the CBC Lucky Lot Draws.

Charter Connection sponsored CBC a brand new 42inch Plasma Screen for Comp and promo use 8)

We hope all lifters enjoyed the day. We are trying to take the stoic boring nature out of PL comps running untested and easy to enter comps for lifters of all levels and ages.

Next Comp will be a 3 lift in september...stay tuned for more on that this week.

Had to photo the results. Some great lifting and Emma with an impressive 390 wilks is bound to ruffle some feathers at the North Island Champs. Hope she has a trouble free run. Some real good lifters coming through the amateur ranks

AM Session Scorecard - vid will follow
