If its bars your after than stay away from jetts. i recently got a warning from them for pulling the smith machine apart to use the barbell for deadlifts

Repped

twl defs sign up to Miada, Ive seen the update pics on fb and it seems like Dales doing a good job of getting the place up to scratch and you can definetley smash some tin in there. The otahuhu branch has got a crap load of weights, chalk, good selection of machines dbs from 1-80kg, think avondale might have the same. Prices are pretty cheap too between $10-$13 on weekly payment plan. Definetley need to ring in advance as Dale is on restricted work hours

I workout at Burn 24Hr Fitness in Takapuna and it is the best gym I've been to. They have a large selection of free weights including bench press and olympic bars. And they are open 24 hours which is a bonus!

They don't even close on public holidays so have been great over the christmas and new year period.

Prices are really manageable too. Won't pay more than $12.90 per week. Would definitely recommend. \:D/

Just taken my Club 24/7 and binned gym contracts to boot. Of no particular interest to most of you since I'm in Pukekohe. But nothing like a bit of shameless PR  Dumbells only go a measly 60kg since we're not very strong out this way.

Amazed at the amount of interest to be honest. Advertised in the local rag a week before I went live and a couple of members just figured we were good to go. As a result I got a call at 4am from the local security company about the alarm. Turned out one of my members had seen the ad and just figured he would pop down for a workout. Freaked me out since his card shouldn't have let him in - the missus was overjoyed to get the call :naughty:

I think this is the future of the industry the technology is there to manage the access control if you can afford to do it right. From my perspective I'm paying rent 24/7 so why shouldn't I be maximising the space. Have also gone down the no-contract road, taking a risk here as giving people the ability to cancel at short notice could mean actual users paying more as all Clubs depend on a percentage of non goers to subsidise the memberships of those who do use the Club.

For those in East Auckland, I'd happy recommend Revitalize in East Tamaki, owner posts as Mr. Natural it's 24/7 and he's done a great job of refurbishing the place, I'm insanely jealous of his Hammer strength DB's.
