Melanotan

I went on a sunbed 3 x a week for 2 months and didnt even change colour.

10 days of melanotan and I was already darker than I'd ever been.

I paid for 10 sessions but got so tanned from just 5 so ended up having to give the rest as a gift to a friend.

Feels good to be South American \:D/

Because for some people a sunbed wont work whereas the melanotan will. Also melanotan will allow you to tan without having to roast your skin with uv rays causing premature aging and increasing your risk of skin cancer. That said though I don't know what effect melanotan will have on skin cancer risk but what I can say for sure is that uv rays definitely increase the risk of skin cancer. Alot easier to do a sub Q injection than go and burn your ass off lol.

THIS

I want to be tan for aesthetic and radioprotective reasons. I don't want to lie in a cancer bed or get burned by the vicious sun to get there. There is nothing to suggest that this stuff increases the risk of skin cancer whatsoever. The only thing might be that people who are on it are possibly less likely to use sunscreen when they are outside I guess

I thought when you read the history about MT1 it was developed as a drug to combat skin cancer.... The only reason it wasn't marketed as this is because they found MT2 was so good at treating erectile dysfunction they decided to develop it in that way instead and stop developing the tanning agent. I definitely get sunburnt way less easily not anyway.

They were originally discovered when researchers were looking for skin cancer preventative therapies but now:

Melanotan I (afamelanotide) is in active development for:

Erythropoietic protoporphyria: Phase III

Prevention of Actinic keratosis in transplant patients: Phase II

Prevention of squamous cell cancer: Phase II

Vitiligo: Phase II

Development is currently suspended for:

Polymorphus light eruptions

Treatment and prevention of photodamage

Urticaria

Development discontinued for:

Acne vulgaris

Melanotan II (PT-14) no longer appears to be in active clinical development. It was being developed for erectile dysfunction and male sexual dysfunction.

Development has switched to its synthetic counterpart bremalanotide which is currently in development for the following:

Female sexual dysfunction: Phase II

Erectile dysfunction: Phase I

Bremelanotide development has been discontinued for haemaorrahgic shock and vasculitis

Personally I've found MT-II helps with my (mild) rosacea, (mild) eczema and dry skin in general. I also get sunburned way less easily on it, which I admit does allow me to stay in the sun longer

Does anyone know if it's stable to be sent in powder form as vials and nz customs don't work together - flick answer to PM if you like - my GP is stuck in the past and getting a script out of him would be like trying to get a round of drinks out of a Scotsman :D

Sorry bro, meant to reply to your question about this.

It is sent as a lyophilized powder which is sensitive to temperature, light, air, etc, etc. It's OK to have it out of the freezer for the short time it takes to courier it (which is one of the reasons that express courier is often the only shipping option for this) but once you get it you should store it in the freezer. The first time I bought it it was sent in a polystyrene box with an icepack in it. Second time I bought it I dunno what is was originall shipped in as customs nabbed it (although I did get it back off the cunce)

Once it is mixed with sterile water it needs to be used fairly quickly or frozen straight away as it will begin to degrade like any other peptide.

I have only seen it sold in vials bro. Even if you wanted to buy 10g of it, they would just ship you a thousand vials AFAIK. You can't get it in a bag or a jar, etc.

You just gotta bite the bullet and see if it gets through. The places that sell it may label the package as something else for you but if customs see vials on the x-ray they will open the package. All the individual vials are labelled so when they open it, they will then see what it is and you'll get "the letter" saying you need a script, blah blah blah.

If the vials were unlabelled, you will get another type of love letter saying they have already destroyed them without even giving you a chance to get them back.

Just give it a go. It's not that expensive in the grand scheme of things
