All lifts Classic style

Short Term: Otago Novice in March

165 Squat

115 Bench

220 Dead

Mid Term: Compete at Otago Provincials (April), South Islands (June), and maybe Nationals (August). Break the 100kg bodyweight. Bring my arms and legs up especially.

By August;

185 Squat

130 Bench

235 Dead

Long Term: - 2013 onwards

Get a job after graduation. Preferably working with athletes but I'd be happy with anything training related.

Keep competing

200+ Squat

140+ Bench

250+ Dead

Get on stage at some point too. Ideally as a junior and probably athletic division. Latest would be 2014 to still be a junior.

All while not letting training take over other aspects of life, of course :)

What's your goals for 2012 Nate?

You're definitely going to make a big splash on stage next year. Have you got a first show planned? Fed?

LOL - just kidding.

Still firming things up at this stage re: competing but probably do 4-5 shows incl. Nationals for NABBA-WFF & NZIFBB. Dates of qualifiers TBC, probably let Coach decide that for me.

Short/med term (for me thats pre cut):

* 120ish BWstill in okay shape (15% ish)

* 20" arms, 30" quads, 19" calves

* Get more width on delts

Med term (comps):

* TBC

Long term (post 2012):

* Give up beauty paegents & compete in a real sport again - Strongman Comps! :grin:

I thought this would be an interesting to get how other people feel in terms of where they want to be short, mid and long term). Try not judge anyone's goals people, as that's where that individual wants to be, not you.

My short term goals for the next few months are Squat 190 for reps, deadlift 190 for reps and bench 100 for reps. (and to get 24 inch legs)

My mid term goals; I want to compete in two years, so I just want to try become a monster but with still having a good please beautiful body shape.

In the long term; I'd like to get a pro card and hopefully compete on the 212 stage. Yeah, I know lots of people will think that's unrealistic, but where does doubt get anyone?

So what's everyone else's goals? I'm sure some people would use this thread as a bit of a scapegoat to let people know.

Please note Tom..... :grin:

My training goals for 2012

enter some crossfit comps and do the best i can so hopefully that can mean getting a win.

to not be so lazy and take my nutrition a more seriously, less partying and try not to put as many bad things into my body.

enter a strongman comp and be competitive at under 90kg. a pl or bb comp could be on the cards to.

and continue to improve all aspects of my strength and fitness by finding ways to gain in both and just going hard basically.

Your perception is your reality.

Absolutely! Set high goals, then work your way towards them and at least you can have faith in the fact you did all you could do! If you get there you get there if not it won't be because you diidn't try hard enough.
