My Adistars have a bigger arch than those, the key point is irregularities, or a doctoring from the standard design.

You could wear work boots up till a few years ago, the main point of foot ware is Sport Shoe or Boot, Powerlifting Shoe/Boot, Weightlifting Shoe/Boot

It will take a little while to settle into your new shoes, looks like they are going ok

mine still look better though :pfft:

This is all that matters MT, after all that is what the judges are looking for really  :pfft: I figure if you can blind them with some pretty shoes it will all be OK!

Word Vee. That's why I originally went with the slime green and blue ones I posted earlier on but they were sold out so settled for lameo red and white repping it Canada styles or China yet to decide.

Red and white, still a good choice. Remember you can always get the edge with some funky socks too, maybe that is where you can bring green and blue into it too. You have to out do Drizzt and his pink socks! :pfft:

Hey guys. I just wanted to let those of you that are interestedin these know that we're going to be posting a review of the AdiPower and Romaleo 2 (probably a side by side comparison) in the next few weeks on wlshoes.com - stay tuned!

Awesome, can't wait, those'll be the two I'm tossing up between as my next pair

My Wei Rui's arrived today  11 days after placing the order, not bad at all, especially over the holidays.

First impressions are good, construction seems very solid and durable. Laces and ankle strap seem like the perfect lengths. I wear a size 11 dress shoe so ordered size 10.5US, fits well and feet are locked in once strap is done up. Can't help but think if a 10 would have been just right, but would hate them to be too small as well. The rubber heel feels very solid and heavy, couldn't imagine them possibly being compressed at all, at least no more so than wood could?

I'll do a proper review and write up in a month or so once I've had a chance to use them properly, itching to get in tomorrow for squats :) So far though, for the price of $125NZD they were by far the cheapest pair I could find and look to be well worth it

Bump :)

looking at getting some myself

C'mon, I've still got 3 days before the month is up :shifty:

Was actually thinking about this the other day. Will write something up and chuck it in the Strength Equipment Review Thread tomorrow. As my first pair of weightlifting shoes I can't really compare to anything else, but they cover all the basics very well, and price can't be beaten.

Just ordered a pair of nike romaleos, will do a proper review once they land and I get a couple sessions in. For anyone interested the older romaleos are available for about $215NZD as they just released the new ones which are no different except more flexible/lighter. something thats not really a huge issue as your lifting weights not running 100m.

Nice! Got a link to where you got them? Could be keen on the older Romaleos, NZ dollar is pretty good right now too...

Keen to hear your thoughts on them first though, is this your first pair of heels? (sounds a bit of an odd question to ask! :pfft:)

Hahahaha!

Previously tried the cheapy adidas powerlift trainers. Thought they were really good especially for the price but lacked a little bit of lateral stability. Was told by a couple guys from Gillies including one of our junior olympians, who also wears romaleos, that the way the romaleos' TPU heel kind of cups your foot makes for an incredibly stable platform. Plus the black and white colourway is great, like they say it goes with everything! Hopefully they don't clash with my compression gear :pfft:

I got mine from athletic solutions, they only sell Romaleos (1 and 2) but have the cheapest shipping i could find at 35USD. All up a pair of Romaleos 1s will set you back $215nzd

Also heard that wookie just got a pair of Nikes, If they're good enough for him then they'll do me haha.
