NZIFBB WELLINGTON CHAMPIONSHIPS

Oh - Pseudo,

I just yelled out some sh*t like "really....really" and then some "thats bullshit".

Kinda crass and not classy but f*ck, when a guy busts his ass (I assume he's not that lean by mistake) to bring condition that makes you go WOW  and gets shafted, it fucken irks me.

Rage over! :pfft:

Other than that it seemed like a good show - will be interesting to see how Terry's one compares though I wont have the luxury of being a spectator.

:D

Pete, you looked awesome bro, good stuff

Grats to all who competed 8)

Thanks bro

I would've liked to see Yoram given overall and rewarded for his conditioning despite his genetic short comings

I don't think favouritism was a factor though Nate, pretty sure Daz and Yoram train together sometimes at LM

^^ Didn't mean to imply that it was due to Darren training Tim PD, tbh I don't really even know who judged that class as I could only see Darren & Moe @ the table? Surely there must have been more judges maybe?) or is the class winner decision made already at pre-judging? (serious question - I've got zero idea how it works? :? ).

Anyways, dont want to shift the focus, I enjoyed the show & the athletes were of a good standard although a little fuller than many expected (though I'm not surprised as many stated their intent to qualify without hampering prep for Nats).

Keen to see some decent photos if anyone can find them?

Diet of kfc LOL

Nah man I looked pretty shit I wish I had eaten KFC the whole diet.

I only wanted to qualify so I just put a tan on. Was a bit harder when I left sydney but couldn't control my water so that made things worse. Rookie mistake of flying over the afternoon before a comp. I was stoked to have got this show out of the way to be honest. Was super nervous about competing again and wanted to do a small show to get that sorted. I wound up weighing almost 102... I was 100.5 when I left sydney and looking to dry out a little to about 99. It doesn't matter because I wasn't in proper condition... but then I wasn't expecting to be. I was the biggest if that counts for anything? Oh hang on it's bodybuilding, of course that doesn't count ha ha ha hha ha

I thought Suas and PD looked great. Joe Ulberg looked freaky at the night show but wasn't very hard, Byron Peach looked awesome in the pre judging but just got a bit overwhelmed by Joe's fullness come the night show. Supry was bigger but not as hard as normal. Just using this as a stepping stone for nationals.

Yoram was shredded, like really shredded. He was the standout guy on the day. IMO should have won overall. Not sure why he lost the u90s to Tim. Tim has a great shape and nice physique but I thought he would have come 4th out of 4 in his class not won it. No disrespect to the guy who has a big future if he can put a whole lot of size on.

All in all I enjoyed the experience of being onstage again. I got my ass handed to me but I went with very low expectations. Now I can sort of relax and just do my nationals prep.

The show seemed to run smoothly enough. There wasn't much room to get ready and nothing to get ready with. But the audience was enthusiastic and the other competitors were all friendly and it was a decent atmosphere.

I think there were only 4 people at the table when I was up there for overalls? I guess that'd be the same unless you could see people come or go? I thought there was supposed to be more but I may have miscounted? I was running on 4 hours sleep, was focusing on posing and dreaming of the cheesecake waiting for me at home :D

Two points -

Judges do not just judge on "Condition"

You can never have too dark a tan especially under good lighting

As true as that may be, Yorum still had the mass to place first in his category and should have done so.

Also, the exterior light from the windows washed out some conditioning in the pre-judging. If you look at the links Pete just posted, you can see I was a lot darker at the night show in comparison to the morning, but my tan was about the same colour if not darker.

I'm not saying I don't agree, but it was a bit different at this show.

I think what MNZ was saying is that some people just weren't dark enough which was true for a fair chunk of people
